The Surprise

IT TOOK Thorn an hour to go home because of the usual heavy traffic. But even though his announcement was a surprise, his wife is all ready when he reached the house.
“You look conservative,” Thorn commented when he saw Angela’s style. Her hair was up and her whole body was covered. She wore a long sleeves blue dress. The hem of it is also long, reaching below her knees.
Angela bowed her head. “I’m sorry. All the dress that I have in my wardrobe are all like this.”
He smiled. “It’s okay. I actually like it.”
Angela looked up, her eyes widened. “You do?”
“It’s decent. An ideal wife should have a respect on her body. And that’s just what you did.”
“B-but I’m not an ideal wife…”
Thorn remembered what he discovered in Angela last night. But he choose not to comment about it. Yes, he got disappointed. But last night was amazing. He enjoyed it.
Thorn just hold Angela’s hand. “Let’s go.”
She obliged. He didn’t bring a driver because Resty’s house is just near his place. He is not that tired so he is capable of driving.
When they reached the place, Thorn helped his wife walk. He asked her to hold into him. He felt her tension.
He kissed her forehead “Relax. I’m here. I will not let anything bad happen to you…”
Thorn was not sure but he seems to saw Angela’s faced whiten. “T-thank you…”
He tried not to feel affected. He nod his head and it didn’t take long when someone came out of the house.
And it was his turn to feel the tension when instead of Resty or his wife, an unexpected woman came and meet them.
“What are you doing here?” Thorn’s face suddenly went ill while asking the question to Rose---the younger sister of Resty and his ex-girlfriend.
