Today they didn't go to the hill since it was raining outside and also, they're busy helping at the flower shop. Jimin's aunt got tons of order from the city. Most likely, someone important has passed away.
So here they're, busy arranging flowers in silence, too focused on connecting the flower stalks. Various kinds of flowers were scattered on the floor and it's up to their creativity to arrange them into a beautiful unity.
"How sad," Eunrae muttered as she stopped doing her work for a while, gazing down to the flowers on her lap.
"What?" Jimin was about to cut some parts with scissors, but then stopped after hearing the girl who sat across from him.
"Dead people receive more flowers and that just shows how people appreciate something when that thing's gone." Eunrae furrowed, twirling a flower in her hand.
Jimin shrugged. "That's how things work, eunrae. You won't realize something is important until it's gone," he explained and continue doing his work again since they're not even half-way done yet. It might take a day to finish the orders.
Eunrae's eyes wandered around, until her eyes landed on a certain white flower that lied on the floor. She picked and handed it to Jimin. "Here, for you."
Jimin lifted his head up and placed the scissors down. "Why are you giving me this out of nowhere? Is there any occasion that I've missed?" He chuckled, gazing at a flower on his hand with a soft smile.
"That's gardenia. According to japanese's language of flowers, that flower means u–uhm," she nervously played her fingers and averted her gaze. "Long life! yeah that's it!" Her face was as red as roses.
Jimin nodded his head and grinned at her, cheeks also flushed a little bit. Fortunately, he somehow managed to press down the red hues. "You're so sweet. Thank you so much then." He thanked and tried to suppress his smile.
"Ah, and here's your phone." Eunrae frantically searched for said device and gave it to Jimin.
Jimin giggled. "Thank you, Eunrae."
Long life wasn't the real meaning of gardenia; the actual meaning was secret love, and what Eunrae didn't know was the fact that Jimin knew the real meaning behind it.
