Ella stood at the door, smiling widely at Kennis, who looked pale. "Baby, I missed you and flew all the way to see you," she beamed, kissing him deeply. He didn’t move, simply allowing her to kiss him, which sent a stabbing pain through my chest. Finally, he pushed her away.
“Ella, why the hell are you here?” he asked, his voice low.
“Well, I missed you, and I knew you did too. I just wanted to see you, and I know how much you dislike being here in her presence,” she said, glancing at me with a frown. For a moment, her eyes raked over me and then fell on the messy bed. I glared at her, arms crossed against my chest.
“I want to sleep. Get out,” I said, anger boiling in my blood. Ella shot me an irritated look and glanced at my mate, who seemed uncertain about what to do.
