Diara I woke up with a slight headache, curled up against Kennis's chest, his scent filling my lungs. Dove howled in happiness. From what I gathered from Nina, Kennis had insomnia and usually slept for only four hours. I didn't want to disturb him, but my bladder was full. Slowly and carefully, I detached myself from his embrace, but his eyes fluttered open and locked onto me before I could enter the bathroom. “Good morning,” I greeted stiffly. Even though last night had been fantastic between us, I wondered where we stood now. Kennis stared at me with his usual impassive expression, then scrubbed his face and murmured a response.
