My mouth hung open at the sight before me. A stunning medieval castle atop a hill, its imposing walls were breathtaking. Its many tall windows blew me away. I exhaled and got out of the car without being told, my eyes scanning the surroundings. Lush green lawns stretch out before me with vibrant flowers.
The alpha stepped out as well, walking inside without a word to me. I was still taking it all in. There was a pond on one side of the property next to a giant oak tree, and a rustic wooden gazebo sat at the edge of the orchard, draped in climbing vines.
Slowly, I made my way along a paved walkway. My stomach was in knots, and my hands trembled slightly. I felt someone's gaze on me, and when I looked up, I saw a blur of blonde hair and a sharp jaw turning away. Who was that?
