Chapter one: The broken souls
The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved, since love is the key to the gateway of happiness. Luna was a vision of loveliness, a masterpiece of nature's craft skills. But it was not just her physical beauty that made her so wonderful. It was the kindness that shone from her eyes, the empathy that flowed from her heart, and the generosity that guided her actions. She was a true gem, a precious treasure that radiated love, light, and laughter wherever she went. She was a blessing to all who knew her, a reminder of the beauty and wonder that life had to offer. “Father, I'm going to work,” said Luna. " I've got to fill in for grace. “Alright, remember to get groceries on your way home,” replied her Father from his room. “I will,” she said, leaving the house. “Mother it's been 5 years since you left” she thought, a little tear dropped down her face as she walked down the road. It had been half a decade since her mother vanished without a trace, leaving Luna and her father alone to pick up the pieces and their belief was that she was dead. The pain had never faded, Luna's father, once a vibrant and loving man, had become a shadow of his former self. He worked tirelessly to provide for Luna, but the emotional distance between them grew wider every day. They were two souls adrift, struggling to find their way back to each other. The day was still a bit dark since Luna had a habit of going a bit too early to work. Suddenly she noticed three figures approaching her from the shadows. Her senses tell her they were up to no good, because of the scarcity of resources for commoners these kinds of events now occur frequently since those with power prefer to gain more and keep resources for themselves. She quickly turned the opposite direction to run away but she was no match for them. Luna could only close her eyes and scream. Instantly the three figures were knocked out, she slowly opened her eyes to see a man landing the last punch on one of the attackers. Her heart skipped a beat as she took in the sight of him - tall, imposing, and devastatingly handsome. His piercing yellow eyes burned like embers, illuminating the darkness as he gazed out at her. His features were chiseled, his jawline sharp, and his hair was a wild black lock standing erect that seemed to move of its own accord. “Are you okay?” The man asked She could feel his eyes on her, boring into her skin like a gentle touch, the stranger stepped out of the shadows. Luna's heart raced as she prepared to defend herself, but the stranger's eyes locked onto hers, and she felt a strange sense of calm wash over her. " Who are you and why are you stalking me? " she said and her voice was shaking uncontrollably. “Is that what you say to the guy who just saved your life?” He said with a confident smile on his handsome face. Anyways I'm Atlas, and you are Luna, great granddaughter of Puzo right ?" Luna's world stopped. "How did you know me and who is Puzo?" Luna demanded Atlas stepped closer, his eyes burning with an inner fire. She was about to pick a race by taking about two steps backward but tripped due to her trembling legs, it came to her dismay when she found herself floating in the thin air and immediately back on her two feet. Your face expression now was just too funny. Atlas said “Let's just say I know someone that talks about you very……. He suddenly stops as he hear some noises “We'll finish this discussion some other time I've got to go” he said “she is always with you” Wait! She screamed, But before she could seek an explanation atlas vanished. That statement kept Luna in a state of curiosity " was he talking about my mother " she said in a soft voice and tears pricked out of her innocent eyes. She continued her journey to work but now faster and anxious, even the sound of the blowing wind scared her so much that she covered her two ears as she begun to run faster than. Luna and her father live in Nebula, a city in a state of confusion and havoc. There is no government, and supernatural beings cause trouble because of their selfish wants. The city is damaged from all the fighting between different groups trying to be in charge. The people of Nebula live in fear of what might happen next. Children who lost their parents to the chaos are seen walking alone in the street and only depend on the little kind people that give them food to eat once in a while. They believe that the only way to continue living is by trying to survive. But a few people are trying to make things better and take back their city. As soon as she reached home, she ran to her father's library and found him hunched over his desk, surrounded by a stack of dusty books. Without giving her father any further explanation about where she went, "Dad, I need to ask you something," she said, trying to catch her breath. Her father looked up, concerned. "What is it, Luna? You look like you've seen a ghost. Luna took a deep breath and explained to her dad about what she saw on her way to work, demanding more explanation about Puzo and her mother. Her father's expression changed, and he leaned back in his chair, a faraway look in his eyes. "Ah, Puzo," he said, his voice filled with a mix of nostalgia and awe. The story began. "He was a great archeologist, one of the best in his field. He was my great grandfather who spent his life uncovering the secrets of the past, and his discoveries changed the course of history. Her father smiled, a hint of pride in his voice. "Puzo discovered the lost city of Zerzura, a place of ancient knowledge and power. He spent years excavating the site, and his findings were nothing short of revolutionary". Luna's heart raced as she imagined the thrill of discovery, the rush of adrenaline that came with uncovering secrets that had been hidden for centuries. "What happened to him?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity. Her father's expression changed, and he changed his position, his eyes avoiding hers. "I'll tell you more later, Luna," he said. As she sat there, trying to make sense of what she had just heard, she realized that she had stumbled upon something much bigger than herself. Something that could change the course of history. And she knew that she had to uncover the truth, no matter what it took. She stood up and walked out of the room, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched, that something was lurking in the shadows. She was so tired and couldn't sleep. Suddenly she hears a knock on the door….
