Tae POV
“How is the search going?” Hye asks me.
Last night I stayed up and searched through her and her friends social media accounts. I know that sounds really stalkerish and I feel like a stalker, but my mate does not post much at all.
Her friend Tina posts a lot and tends to tag Babz, but Babz herself rarely posts. I am guessing Babz is her nickname, and I cannot wait to find out her real name.
She looks beautiful in all of her photos, even in the ones where she has no makeup on and looks a mess. To me she looks like a million dollars all the time.
“I have found her socials, but I cannot find her address, she is very cautious.” I say.
“Hm. Give me five minutes and your phone.” Hye says, holding out his hand.
I give him my phone; this mans skills at finding people with little information is no joke. You might say it is because we are wolves so we have good senses, but this man does not use that. Instead he uses technology to narrow down peoples locations, he accesses databases that not even business or councils have access to.
It is kind of creepy to be honest, even when I disappeared for a while to get back on my feet he found me and dragged me back within two days.
“Found her.” He says, turning my phone around and showing me her name and address.
“Thank you.”
“Want me to book a gig at the local theater and get two tickets?” Hye asks knowingly.
“You are an angel in disguise. If that is ok? But why two?”
“Of course it is, you will have the tickets within the hour. And because she will want to bring a friend. I will get someone to hand deliver the tickets to her address.”
“Wait! I will deliver them.” I say excitedly.
“Don’t be an i***t, you are famous and people know your face. There is no need to bring any unwanted or unwarranted attention to her door. You are trying to get her, not drive her away.” Hye says, walking out of the room.
An hour late Ha-Joon walks in, I sigh.
“Seriously? Don’t you two ever knock?” I ask exasperated.
“But I thought you would want these.” Ha-Joon says, holding up two tickets.
I smile at him and grab them, before putting them into an envelope along with a small note I wrote to her.
There are about ten drafts of the note in my rubbish bin, in the end I went for something short and sweet. I just hope it does not freak her out and she turns up to the concert.
Ha-Joon POV
“Do you really think that she is his mate?” I ask Hye.
Tae has been acting weird lately, he has been more focused on her that working on his dance moves. Which is very worrying as he is obsessed with dancing and making sure that he puts on the perfect show.
The three of us are very close. We were raised in this country, when Hye and I were children Taes mother found us and took us in. We escaped from our home country to this one to get away from Taes father, not that we told him that. Tae knows nothing about his father and that is how he likes it.
Taes mother begged us to protect him no matter what, she loved all of us but he was her child and there was a secret she wanted to keep from him. We both agreed, and since the day she died it fell to us to protect him.
His mother has offered to tell him his past and what happened between her and his father but Tae always replies with 'if he could accept losing you then he is not worthy to be a father'. I can see where he is coming from but I also think that he should want to know something about his father. And now he is obsessing over his 'mate'. He has only seen her in a photograph, so how could he know? While a part of me is jealous, I also hope that she is his mate. Tae deserves all the happiness that the world has to offer.
He may be a full-grown man and a celebrity, but he is still a child at heart. He jokes around and acts more like a teenager than a twenty-seven-year-old man. But then again spending his childhood on the run would explain his behaviour, after all he can now act like a child around us and we will protect him.
It doesn’t help that he has a baby face, not matter how hard he tries he always looks like a child. It is cute really.
“I think she might be, after all he seems to be in love with her. I have seen him infatuated before and this isn’t like that time. Even his wolf came out when I challenged his feelings for her, you saw.” Hye replies, looking up from his screen for a second before going back to work.
“What are you up to?” I ask, standing behind him and looking at the screen.
“I am arranging the two gig and tickets. We have the theater booked and the tickets are about to go on sale in a few minutes, I am just confirming that I am happy with the date, time and the graphics.” Hye says.
“And are you?”
“They will do, would have been better had we had more time but it is what it is. I just hope that it all works out for him, he deserves some happiness in his life.”
“He has happiness, he has us.” I pout.
“I know, but he deserves to feel love and true happiness of being with the one he loves.” Hye counters.
The printer whirs into action all of a sudden. I watch as Hye picks something up, laminates is and then cuts out two rectangles before turning to me.
“Please take these to him.” Hye says, handing me two concert tickets.
I sigh, I just hope it works out for him.
