Chapter 3- Mate

1052 Words
Tae POV “Mate?” Ha-Joon asks, looking over my shoulder and at the picture on my phone. “She sure is a beauty.” He whispers. I growl at him. “Mine.” I growl. “Who is yours? Ha-Joon?” Hye asks, casually strolling into my room. “When did there become an open-door policy on my room?” I ask exasperated. “When we joined up together. Duh.” Hye replies, smacking me playfully on the back of the head. “So, what were you talking about?” “Tae has found his mate.” Ha-Joon quickly says. “Oh? Who?” Hye asks, looking around the room. “Where is she?” “Here.” I reply, holding my phone up so that he can see. Hye looks down at the phone and smiles. “She sure is a beauty. I think she is too good for you, maybe I should have her.” I growl and jump at Hye, straddling him as we both land on the floor. “No. She is mine.” I growl, my wolf coming to the surface. Hye holds his hands up. “I surrender leader.” He says, smiling a bit. My wolf recedes and so does my anger, I get off and help him up. “But seriously, are you sure she is your mate, and you are not just infatuated? I mean, how could you tell just from a picture on your phone?” He asks. I get where he is coming from, all my life I thought that I needed to meet my mate face to face to recognise her, after al that is what my mother told us. But the moment I saw the photo I couldn’t take my eyes off of her and my wolf came forward and growled mate. No matter what, she is my mate. Hye nods his head and smiles. “Then go get her.” He says, patting me on the shoulder before walking out of the room to speak to management, I think. “Are you sure you are mates?” Ha-Joon asks. “Yes.” I reply. “I see, but what if she does not want you?” “She is my mate, why wouldn’t she want me?.” I reply confidently. “She is normal.” Ha-Joon says. “So?” I ask, turning to glare at him Ha-Joon holds his hands up. “I didn’t mean anything by it, I just meant that we are celebrities, and she is not. How are you going to find her? And what if she doesn’t want to be with you? She is human after all.” “We live in the 21st century, there is something called social media. That is how I found her, and she is tagged in the post. I just have to dig a bit deeper and find out a way to either contact her or gig near where she lives and hope she attends.” I reply. “And there’s nothing wrong with being a human.” I mumble. “I will have a word with our managers about adding a new location to our tour. Go find her.” Hye says, patting me on the shoulder. “I intend too.” I reply, smiling the biggest smile in a long time. Babz POV The train ride back home is uneventful. Yesterday was fun, once the concert was cancelled it meant that Tina and I did not stay up too late so instead of nursing hangovers we spent the day in London. We ended up tired out and almost missed our train this morning but it was so much fun that we did not care. It was nice spending time in London but now me and my friend go our separate ways. “Get home safe. Speak to you later!” Tina shouts as she happily walks off and into the embrace of her boyfriend. I wave goodbye and leave the train station and head into town. I live on the opposite side of the town, so I need to go through the town centre to get home. Tina and her boyfriend offered me a lift but I did not want to be a third wheel, so I opted to walk home instead. “Have you heard?” I hear someone mutter. “What?” their friend replies. “The Sweet Boys are coming to town.” I quickly get out my phone and Google it, and I am surprised to find out that they are right. I get excited as I think that I could get myself some tickets and maybe even front seat ones! The top result is that The Sweet Boys will be performing in a theatre close to here, but the tickets have already sold out. I sigh, of course they are. I put my phone back in my pocket and carry on heading home, the excitement from a moment ago is completely gone. I walk through the park and enjoy the sights, the sounds of children playing in the park while I walk through the grass and the sounds of the birds flying and chirping. I exit the park and head towards the seafront, walking down the road as my shoes start to get covered in sand. Guessing there have been high winds the few days I was away, I smile as the sea comes into view before I turn off and walk into the communal door. Once inside I put on the timed light and head upstairs to my apartment. As I open my door I am met with a small pile of post, but what grabs my attention is the handwritten note on top of the post. I bend down and pick up the small envelope, there is no stamp and only my name is written on the front. The handwriting is beautiful, it is cursive and looks old but so gorgeous. I smile at the handwriting. Wait, why am I smiling? I shake my head and put my bag down before closing the front door and opening the envelope. In the envelope are two tickets to The Sweet Boys concert in two days’ time and a handwritten message: Please come to the concert. I will be waiting.
