Home sweet home more like home terrible home, pictures of my grandma and I stared at me in the Living room seeming to watch my every step but I shrugged it off before I thought deeper about and possibly go crazy, the whole staff was here welcoming me home but I wasn't paying attention I just wanted to be alone.
Ben as if understanding my frustration ushers the staff out of the room and with that I climb the stairs to the third floor and walk to my room on getting there I slump on the bed and shed a tear but I caught myself, remembering my granny's words "real men don't cry if you cry it shows you are weak and Hathaway's are always brave".
I really miss her but I must move on, you know she wouldn't like to see you in tears, I turn around to find Ben behind me, I'm not crying I replied, yeah buddy you weren't crying at all.
Is there anything you want to tell me, I ask not taking my eyes of the floor, actually yes the lawyer will be here the day after tomorrow to read the will apparently the funeral has been done while you where in coma no one believed you would make, I just nod, you sure you are okay buddy he asks again, yes I'm fine now please will you get out I need some space I tell him okay if you say so and with that he leaves.
I lay back on my bed reflecting on the past week, how had my life come to this from barely escaping death to losing my grandma to a psycho killer, I was not afraid of the killer at all instead I wish I could just grab him and punch his face right in.
I raise my head back up and look around the room, my eyes sweeping over everything in sight before landing on the door that connected my room to my grandmother's, originally my room was on the second floor but because I was scared of the dark as a kid (yeah I'm not ashamed of it) and I had disturbing dreams which only my grandma could calm me down from, she ordered the room next to hers to be connected together by a door so I could stay there and still feel safe knowing my grandma was just next-door. so strange knowing that she wasn't beside or near me beside or near me
