CHAPTER FOUR- OPERATION HAPPINESS II

Three days later>
“Okay dear please be safe and thank you again for the properties you lent us to sell”
the neighbour said as she held Lilith hand thanking her.
“Oh it’s no problem Mrs Philip, I won’t be coming back here and these properties would just rot in here, but please take care”
Lilith hurriedly said as she hears her cab horn downstairs for her to be faster. With a little side hug she gave Mrs Phillips, Lilith bolted to her cab as she doesn’t want to Miss her flight.
Sitting in her cab she enjoyed the view and she mentally said goodbye to everything and everyone noting that she’d never come back as she planned making new York and every city she visits worth it, seeing the airport on view she smiled a grateful smile.
Six hours later>>
“Omg! See my baby girl she’ so beautiful!”
Julie gushed excitedly as she rushed to go hug Lilith who was dragging her suitcase to the entrance of the airport. They hugged so tightly Lilith couldn’t contain her joy, smiling so brightly anyone seeing them would be envious of their reunion.
“How are you Julie, and thank you for letting me stay with you even though I know it’s short notice”
Julie stares at her fully now, completely aware of Lilith’s changes and improvements on herself and a glint of malice flashed across her face but suppressing it quickly from Lilith gaze. Still in her thoughts she really admired Lilith’s beauty something she always envied while in university and even when stressed she looked so effortlessly beautiful, whitish-blonde hair that’s tied in a messy bun which gives her an angelic look and her ocean blue eyes that any man would want to be drawn too, and worse she been naive and ignorant to her own beauty and allure pisses her off even more cause it makes her even more seductive and I always hated her for it.
“You aren’t covered up the way I advised you to anymore Lilith, aren’t you scared people will stare or give you evil glance or worse judge you”
Julie said trying to feign innocence
Oblivious Lilith just laughed as she ignored the red signs, thinking her friends only cares about her well being after all but she’s not that Lilith anymore.
“Well my dear friend, that scared Lilith is gone and for good and besides I don’t care what people say about me any more, I’m happy and that’s all that matter”
Lilith said in a voice of contentment totally oblivious to her friends menacing gaze.
Laughing Julie helped her with her bags and took Lilith to her car as they drove together to their now shared apartment.

“Wow your place is so beautiful!”
Lilith admired as she walked in her suitcase in hand as she spun happily at the beautiful penthouse she was going to live in with her best friend. The decor giving a clean aesthetic feeling and the wide window view as one could see the entirety of new York from up here.
“ Well it’s small and you should come now to your room and rest”
Julie said in false humility as she showed Lilith her room
Watching as Lilith admired her new room, a sense of guilt gripped Julie’s heart, she has to do this or else she’d be an escape goat for those dangerous men, being lost in thoughts she didn’t notice Lilith staring at her
“Are you okay Julie, you seem tensed ?”
Lilith asked as she walks to her friends direction
“No I’m okay, just remembered I have to make a call and order you something to eat as well”
Julie gave a fake smile as Lilith nodded seeing her friends retreating figure. Closing the door, Lilith excitedly took her phone for a cute selfie in her new room as she posted it on her i********: stories , immediately viewed by her siblings she gave a wicked smile as she knew they where dying to know what she was up too but they didn’t have the guts to message her, she planned to continue torturing them like this till they break and she’ll by then maybe dead or not but right now it’s just her and her beautiful adventure awaiting her .

Four days later>
“Oh hi Julie, you are back?”
Lilith said excitedly as she watched Julie looking like she saw a ghost as Julie briskly walked to her room Locking it
‘I wonder if Julie is okay, she always looking like she’s afraid of something, I’ll talk to her later about this, is it boy issues ?’ Lilith thought as worry filled her innocent heart.
Later that evening, Julie finally came out of her room Looking better than when she came in
“Hi roomie”
Julie said as she hugs Lilith from behind, who was cooking dinner for the both of them
“Oh Julie, I’m so happy you are finally out, are you better now?”
Lilith asked probing Julie to speak to her about what is going on with her
Julie sensing this, immediately tense maybe her outburst was a little too much and worrying her plan might be faulted a little as this plan must go as plan Julie faked a smile as she consoles Lilith
“Oh my sweet caring friend, don’t mind me it was just my period acting up and mood swings so I was just annoyed when I came in so please don’t take it to heart cause I’m alright, the only thing that might upset me is if I don’t get to taste this delicious food you making”
Julie said trying her best to distract her from her outburst and just calm Lilith mind about her.
“Oh is that all ? Well if you say so Julie. I thought someone was actually after your life cause of how scared you’ve been lately”
Lilith said jokingly, oblivious to the shocked expression on Julie's face as she didn’t know Lilith could read her that easily but noting to be more Careful in the future and to avoid set backs as its time to for her plan to start.
“So Lilith, I’ve been invited to an exclusive event, ‘the Marquises Mascaraed ball’ hosted by one of my very close friend and this party holds only the elites and the 1% of wealth in America attending, I was thinking if you’d want to come with me as my date?”
Julie asked as she ate her food acting nonchalant but smirked when she heard her friend jump in joy and yell ‘of course yes’
“Of course yes, i wouldn’t miss this for anything and besides this is my first ever mascaraed ball, meaning we’d be wearing cute mask and there’d be wine and as your date it will be like a girls outing FINALLY!!!”
Lilith said so excited as Julie just smiled knowingly ‘well it will also be your last’ Julie thought as she ate the last of food on the plate.
“We’d go out tomorrow to go get a good dress for ourselves so we’d be the most fairest of them all in the event”
Julie said as she washed her utensils, walking to her room, she quickly stops and turns to Lilith.
“The event is tomorrow evening as well, so don’t worry I’ll make you so beautiful nobody will refuse you at all”
Julie says as she saw her friend smile at her innocently as she gave a goodnight and smirked walking to her room.
‘Finally my debt and freedom is at its reach , tomorrow would definitely be the best day for only me ‘
