My breathing gradually stabilized, thanks to Lucas’ efforts. His actions to comfort me were effective, the way he covered my ears with his hands and leaned my head on his chest, trapping me in his embrace. I could feel his erratic heartbeat against my face. I'm not entirely sure what's happening right now, but his presence is helping me calm down.
