*EPISODE 2: The Cold Billionaire*
Daniel Stone didn't believe in God. Not anymore.
Ten years ago he prayed all night while his mother died of cancer in a private hospital his father's money couldn't save. Since then, he never entered a church.
Tonight, the rain forced him in. His driver was stuck, his board members were shouting on the phone, and his grandmother was threatening to give his company shares to his cousin if he didn't marry this month.
Then he heard her.
The girl on the bench was not acting. Her shoulders shook. Real tears fell on her old Bible.
It annoyed him. It also... pulled him.
"You should pray somewhere else," he said. "This church will be locked soon."
Esther stood up, embarrassed. Her dress was torn at the hem. "Sorry sir. I have nowhere else."
She tried to carry her small Ghana-must-go bag, but it burst open. Old clothes, a church program, and a hospital bill of N2.3 million scattered on the floor.
Daniel bent down without thinking and picked up the bill. His eyes narrowed.
"Who is Amara Grace?"
"My mother," Esther whispered. "She died last month."
He looked at the debt, then at her face. Something in his chest moved.
He had an idea. A crazy, selfish idea that could solve both their problems.
"What if I pay this... and give you a house? What will you give me in return?"
