Alice's Point Of View
I woke up in a daze with a splitting headache almost blurring my vision.
Looking around me one more time and fully registering that I was in an unfamiliar place
“What am I doing here?” I whispered weakly, as I struggled to keep my eyes open.
The memories of the night before seemed to evade me.
And the more I reached for them the farther they became.
“I need some answers and I am going to get them,” I said firmly, my voice filled with determination as I struggled to get myself out of the gigantic bed I lay in.
I took one step and felt another sharp pain in my head.
It brought me to my knees and just like a flash I remembered everything from the night before.
Fear gripped me immediately and the urge to run away overwhelmed me.
In the midst of my panic, I heard the sound of keys and became even more terrified.
“Oh s**t,” I whispered anxiously, scanning the room for a good place to hide.
I saw a big closet and decided that was my only chance.
Scurrying to the closest and closing my eyes and ears I prayed for the best but hoped for the worse.
“Please…please…please,” I whispered desperately, as I could hear footsteps approach the closet.
The sound of footsteps suddenly came to a halt in front of the closet and I knew I had been caught.
“Hi darling,” a masculine voice said teasingly, opening the closet and staring down at me.
I didn't even care to look up at whoever it was, I just screamed and began to attack.
I hit the man with all the strength I had and bolted towards the only door I could find
“Finally,” I whispered in relief, as I saw a road ahead of me.
I was free, I had finally escaped that evil man and I was determined not to stop until I got some help.
Like fresh air in my lungs, I ravished the feeling of freedom, grateful that I had escaped before any horrible things had happened.
“Help!!!” I screamed desperately, as I saw an incoming vehicle but was ignored completely.
I tried to scream again but my voice was soon muffled by big strong hands covering my mouth.
“Not so fast kitty, you are going nowhere,” the man whispered firmly, picking me up and throwing me across his shoulder.
“No!!” I screamed anxious, kicking his chest so he would drop me but all my efforts were useless.
“Stay still and be a good girl,” he said harshly, spanking my ass and sending a thrill down my spine.
His voice vibrated in my insides and as embarrassing as it was to admit, it turned me on.
“Not now silly,” I admonished myself, cursing my body for betraying me at such a critical time.
As he stormed towards his house which was slightly off the road I couldn't help but feel that his voice was familiar.
I struggled to put my finger on it but couldn't remember anything.
“The doctor said you shouldn't be running or putting yourself under much stress, you need to rest,” he said calmly, putting me down and turning towards the kitchen.
It happened so fast that I couldn't see his full face but something else bothered me more at that time.
“D….doctor? You got a doctor?” I asked in shock and amazement, my brows furrowing as I spoke.
“Yes! You were almost attacked by three men and you passed out for hours. Of course, I had to call a doctor,” he said firmly, shaking his head like it was something I was supposed to know.
Only then did it dawn on me that this man wasn't one of the men that attacked me but quite the opposite?
“You saved my life?” I asked softly, gasping in shock as the truth unfolded in front of me.
“Yes I did,” he said calmly, chuckling loudly.
“I don't believe you,” I said firmly, crossing my hand over my chest.
“You shouldn't,” he said quietly, taking a deep breath.
“You should be more aware of your surroundings and know when to call for help,” he admonished sternly, running his hand through his hair as he concentrated on the dish he was preparing.
“So how can you prove that you are not one of those men?” I asked anxiously, the shift in the atmosphere making me uncomfortable.
He didn't respond to my question but continued to cook.
I was about to ask the question again but he suddenly responded after a few minutes.
“I can't prove anything,” he said calmly, sounding defeated and taking a deep breath.
“So why won't you let me go?” I asked in confusion, shocked at his sudden change in demeanor.
“Because you owe me and you won't leave before you pay what you owe,” he said firmly, his voice becoming harsh.
I gasped in shock realizing that I wasn't safe at all, this man was just as bad as the others.
“I thought you were a good man?” I asked anxiously, my body shaking with fear.
“I have never been a good man, you of all people should know that,” he said calmly, finally turning in my direction and approaching me with a tray of food in his hand.
I gasped in shock and recognized the man in front of me, he was my greatest nightmare.
“Hello Alice,” he said calmly, a cocky grin plastered on his face.
“Hello Reynolds,” I responded shakily, my voice breaking as I spoke.
What do you want, Reynolds?” I asked in horror, fear filling my eyes.
My mind was doing all the things it wasn't supposed to, going down memory lane and remembering all the horrible things Reynolds had done to me in high school.
“You will find out soon,” Reynolds said calmly, setting the food he had prepared on the table and proceeded to sit across me, staring into my eyes.
