The former lecturer turned up early as planned at the luxurious mansion of Fred Greenwood on Monday morning for the second time in one month but this time, he cane with a different aim to see the rich stranger who had already prepared well for his coming by making some mild arrangements for his visitor the previous day. The two fellows kept themselves entertained with harsh liquor and some music after Stanley accepted his proposal which he wasn't yet sure of what the work he signed up for entails until he found out later as evening drew closer, much quicker than what he had expected for the small party to be brought to an end giving way for real serious business of the day.
