Saying Goodbye

Aurelia POV

Liam walks right behind me down the stairs, never letting go of my hand. We walk out into the garden where everyone is standing to say goodbye. My father is stood scowling towards the back. At least he’s here, I guess. I get passed around everyone to say our goodbyes. 

“Do you want me to keep your father away, baby?”

I love that we can mind link now with each other now.

“No, it’s OK. Let’s just get this over with so we can go leave.”

I can feel him sending me warm thoughts. Mind linking with your mate is so different. I can feel how he’s feeling. I can sense everything. I love it. 

My mother gives me a hug and kisses my head. “Be safe, beautiful girl, and be happy. You will be the most amazing Luna.” My heart stops for a split second and I can feel my face drop. I forgot I would be a Luna. Of course, I would be Luna. Liam is an Alpha. My mother must sense my panic. “Dear, I’ve always felt it inside you. That sweet, kindred spirit that will fight for what she believes and loves. You’ve got this. And I’m only a call away.” I smile, and turn to my father. I feel panicked, but Liam puts his hand on mine and squeezes it. I instantly feel calmer. My father smiles at me. “Good luck, Aurelia. Be safe. Take care of her Alpha Kustoff.” I nod, and move on.

Cain, our chef, slips something to Liam as I move to give another goodbye hug to Lucia, and I raise an eyebrow at him. He grins at me, and pulls me into a hug next. “Ah, Aurelia, I will miss your face here. I’m so happy you found your soul mate. I look forward to seeing you again soon.” And he heads back inside. I reach Junus and he pulls me into a hug. “Ugh, your smell is tainted by him.” He moans, pouting. I chuckle, and pull him in close, breathing him in. “But you still smell like my Juno.” I hear him take a deep breath of my hair and I do the same. I’ll always remember the smell of Juno. Like the most beautiful campfire.

“Sorry to interrupt, are we ready to go sweet baby?” I nod, pulling away from Junus, as I see his eyes look at my mark and then back at my face. His eyes crinkle, before darting away from me. I jump back on him for one quick hug. “I love you Juny.” “And you’ll always be my favourite girl, Boo.” I nod and pull away, and then take Liam’s hand as we walk back to his car. He has a fleet of black, blacked out window, Range Rovers in the drive. “He insists on driving himself everywhere.” Rolls the eyes of a tall man, not quite as tall as Liam though. He has a short, buzz cut hair cut and brown skin like he spends a lot of time outside training.

“This is Cruz, my Beta. And that is Marcus, my Gamma.” Liam gestures towards another man stood next to Cruz. “Their wives are back home.” He finishes. I nod and greet them both. They flash their smiles. Marcus reminds me of a brother. He’s a little shorter than Cruz. Maybe about 5 foot 7. But he has a large, muscular build. He has black, shaggy hair and deep brown eyes. His skin is sun-kissed, and looks perfect. I say a silent prayer to the Moon Goddess, thanking her I’m already mated. Because he looks delicious. They both smile at me as they climb into the back Range Rover. “I like them.” I say to Liam. He pulls me close. “They’re very good at their job, and very good friends. You’ll like their wives too.” I nod, as he opens the door to the Range Rover and lifts me in. I raise an eyebrow. “I can get into a car, I’m not that small.” He flashes me a grin and rushes around to jump into the drivers seat.

“I love how small you are.” He says, while starting the engine and grinning at me. I roll my eyes. It sucks being 5 foot 3. “How long does it take to get to your home?” I ask. He squeezes my hand. “Our home, baby. Our home.” I nod, that’s going to take some getting used to. We start to drive out of the lane of our land and I send one final mind link. 

“Miss you already, Juno.”

“Miss you too, Boo. I’ll come visit soon.”

“You promise?”

“Always, Boo. Always.”

I smile, happy to know that he’ll come and visit soon. 

“Good luck sweetheart, make sure to come and visit us soon.”

My mother. I knew I could count on her.

“Thanks mom, miss you.”

And then I put up my wall and stop any other mind links coming through. Time for it to just be me and Liam. I turn to my side to look at Liam and smile. He flashes me a side grin, while keeping his eyes on the road. I lift my legs up and put them on his lap, rubbing my foot against his d**k. His eyes go black, and then he briefly closes them and reopens. “Please, stop. You are my world and I want to keep you safe. Which is very hard when you keep teasing me.” I grin.

“So help me!” Liam growls as I lift up the bottom of my dress to flash my naked lower body. I giggle. “It’s 20 minutes to the airport, and then just over 4 hours on our private jet to LA. We pull up at the airport, and Liam instructs his Beta and Gamma to carry all of my things onto the jet, along with an Omega who’s working on the jet. The pilot is already in the cockpit when we climb onboard. There’s about 25 seats here, and as I go to sit down, Liam shakes his head at me, and pushes me to the back of the plane. His eyes cloud over, mind linking someone. And then he’s back. He opens a door at the back of the plane and I open it to see a mini bedroom. I turn to him as he’s closing the door behind us, but before I can say anything he lifts me up and throws me onto the bed 2 feet away.

Oh wow. I giggle as I bounce onto the bed. “You do not tease me like that when I’m driving!” He growls at me. Liam POV
