Douglas arrived at his house thoughtfully. Apparently there was no hint of a crime of passion that he could link to the k********g. Money seemed to be the only purpose of that crime. He would handle the case accordingly, and would not create too many possibilities that could divert his attention to unsatisfactory paths that would ultimately lead to nothing. He would take advantage of the fact that they would not call until the evening, or the next day, and would organize his things. He had to stay at Mr. Paul's house that night and as long as necessary until the situation was solved.
