CHAPTER 06
The day was still beginning to emerge when the kidnapper came to get Veronica in her room claiming that they would get in touch with her father. Without much further delay, she straightened up and followed him. The day before, she could not observe the place properly, but she realized that it was wider and more organized than the first captivity. It was a well-kept and furnished countryside residence. With a certain curiosity, she looked everywhere in order to find something that could help her when she needed it, but nothing particularly revealing came into view. She sat still searching for something until they informed her they would make the call.
Douglas was in the room talking to Veronica's father. None of them had slept well in anticipation of what would happen the next
