Chapter One
The rain struck the windows, falling heavily. The building was silent and one could hear little to little sound coming from the rooms in the building. Clara sighed, making her way into the building, she put in the pass code and the door clicked open. Her long stiletto heels made her already long legs, longer. Her wild curly hair was even more wild with the fierce red color, she had drowned it in. Clara noticed the water lines, while she was bending over to place the umbrella in the closet. A frown settled on her, was someone else in her apartment? Clara marched towards the bedroom, following the trail of water that was on the ground. Someone had come in. Probably a thief. The water lines stopped in front of her bedroom door, Clara raised her perfectly manicured finger and held onto the door knob. Pushing the door open, her gaze fell on the bodies intertwined on her bed. Her own room. Two bodies having s*x, only two people had the access to her apartment and there were her fiancee and her little cousin who stayed right across from her. Her cousin loved to bring men over to her place, hoping she would not get in trouble with her dad. Clara hoped to give her cousin a lesson about this habit of hers soon. It could cause a misunderstanding of not tacked with, Clara thought, moving backwards. Clara quickly closed her eyes with her fingers. From the look of things, it was probably her cousin who had brought a man to her apartment once again. She noticed the bright blond hair, sticking out from under the man who had the girl pinned. Clara scrunched her nose in disgust and turned, ready to walk out of the room, when her eyes caught the clothes on the ground. The burgundy jacket was a gift she had given to her fiancee. Clara stepped forward, uncertainty setting in. There was not just a kind of jacket that looked like this, but she had her fiancee's jacket customized. Clara felt compelled to pick up the jacket and for whatever reason, she picked up the jacket. A glance at the jacket and she immediately realized the jacket belonged to her fiancee. This was the exact one she had gotten him, with his initials and hers printed out at the front pocket. Her eyes moved from the jacket back to the bed with the speed of light. The man on her bed was her fiancee. Together with her cousin. Her cousin and her fiancee on the bed, f*****g around it like dogs? Clara could not believe it, there must have been a mistake, Julian told her he would be out of town till tomorrow. He wasn't back. Clara walked into the room, holding to confirm her claims. She switched on the main lights in the room, brightening the room and bringing the couple out of their delusions. "Housekeeper, can't you see I am busy? You can cook the food, I'll come out immediately, I am done." Clara's cousin muttered, thinking it was the house keeper. The people on the bed resumed their activity, kissing frivolously. "Lily Laurent." Clara called out, her voice trembling. Reality crashed down on her quite heavily, her eyes locked onto the bed. The couple on the bed were thrown into shock by the voice they just heard. Scrambling away from each other, Lily tried to shield Julian from being seen. "Sis, what are you doing here? Do you need anything?" Lily muttered, pulling up the blanket to her chest, hiding her nakedness. "You both had the audacity to do this in my room? My apartment? How dare you?" Clara muttered, her voice filled with anger. "Sis it's not what you think. I made a mistake and brought my boyfriend over to your apartment, we will leave right now. I am so sorry." Lily begged, hoping Clara would not take notice of the man behind her. "You can stop lying already. How many more lies will you tell! Throw away the innocent facade already! Julian, I can see you right there. Come outside." Clara yelled, her eyes filled with disbelief. "Julian?.. why.. Why would Julian be here? This is my boyfriend, cousin..." Lily stuttered, biting her lips in frustration. "Your boyfriend?" Clara asked, tilting her head to the side. "Yes, my boyfriend... It's.. my boyfriend.." Lily stuttered, evidently trying to avoid the situation. "Then would you like to tell me, how your boyfriend has the limited edition burgundy jacket I got for Julian? With our initials on it?" Clara muttered, throwing the jacket that Lily had failed to notice before towards the bed. Lily's eyes widened in surprise, oh no! Julian pushed the blanket away from his head, bringing himself out of the blanket. "Clara, it's not what you think, trust me." Julian muttered, pushing the blanket from his body. "It's not what you think Clara. I was drunk, and I thought it was you. I didn't know she was the one, please hear me out Clara." Julian begged, stepping close to Clara. His hands were jibed together in front of him, as he pleaded with Clara to hear him out. "Lily, do you have anything else to say for yourself?" Clara asked with a bittered smile on her lips. Lily sat with a friend on her face, the innocent expression washed away. "Clara, please do not listen to her. I made a mistake Clara, I thought you were the one. I was drunk, I planned to surprise you and I made a mistake." Julian kept explaining, even though he was being ignored. "Do not place your filthy fingers on me ever again. And Lily, you should get ready to go home. I am sure, uncle would not be happy to hear this." Lily's frown deepened, a mocking smile emerging from her lips. "Tattle talking to my father? Just to get me in trouble? Why would you do that, cousin?" Lily asked, remorse not evident in her eyes.
