I enjoy trying new things, so last weekend, I decided to attend an auction. I had never been to one before, but after a few hours, I found a Marilyn Monroe dress that was worth a lot. I immediately thought of my girlfriend and pictured her wearing it, so I bought it for her. However, when I gave it to her, she looked at it for a while and then at me like I was crazy. It turns out that the dress was not her size, but she appreciated the gesture nonetheless. Although I had spent a lot of money on it, she told me that it was the thought that counted, which made me happy. I couldn't tell her about my mistake, but I learned my lesson about checking the size beforehand.
