I could hear voices rising and falling from outside the door. Whoever was there seemed to be in a panic, and I couldn’t help but want to know exactly what was going on.
Getting out of bed, I made my way out of the room to find Lux, Abigail, and Chris speaking quickly.
"Why is she..." Abigail began being the first to notice me.
At her words, Lux turned and spotted me. His look of anger quickly dwindled away and turned into one of gentleness.
"You should have stayed in bed." He said, moving forward and meeting my gaze.
"I was worried." I said, slowly searching his face for some sign of what was going on. "What happened?"
