I watched as the little thing's chest rose and fell. Soft snores escaped her lips, and every now and then it looked as though they were trying to form words. She had fallen asleep in my arms after I told her a bit more about my past and then had a bit of fun, but I was still wide awake. Being careful not to rouse her, I freed my arms and got out of bed, grabbing a cigarette and my lighter. I made my way over to the balcony and stepped outside. Usually I would simply smoke in bed, but I didn’t want to make the little thing breathe in my smoke.
