Our Contract Marriage

It has been almost 2 weeks i haven't heard from Ryan. I was back to my apartment living my old life, only difference was I was married & had two bodyguard constantly following me since the time i left Bali!

FlashBack*

"Please give me sometime when I am ready we can talk about the kid, but please let me go now" I told Ryan. Ryan expression became cold, "Dont forget i have paid you for this marriage! I will take what i want and when i want" he said and left the villa. I was stunned by the rage i saw on his face for the first time. In sometime his body guard whom i know as Mark came to take me back to airport. On reaching I saw the same NY Group jet on standby. Throughout the flight i kept telling myself to find the courage and take this relationship as nothing but a transaction to keep me and my family debt free but something about how Ryan makes my feel and the fact that he is my first kept making me scared.

Present Day*

"Would you be traveling with us Mrs. Ryan" Mark asked exactly the way he did for the last 2 week.

"Mark you know i always take the train and you always drop me to the station, nothing is changing today" I told him with the smile i could manage.

It was 15th day and I had no idea where my husband was now. Only one text from him informing me he will be touring Asia on work. Honestly i missed him but i was also scared to see him again.

Boarding the usual train i met my office friend Trisha & boss Silas. They have been my anchor since the moment i have joined. Immediately post returning from Bali I had reported to work under Silas in the NY Group Website Designing section.

There were many new campus placement and things were very competitive. I was given a part of the team that digitally handled the launch of any new service/product of our company.

"So i wanted to inform you guys before we reach office there is a management meeting today once we reach office which is mandatory for everyone" Silas told us. "That is awesome I was actually looking forward to good coffee & free breakfast" Trisha said smiling brightly. She was always the chirpy one from our group. We both reported to Silas and from orientation days we have always been together.

Silas was in his 30's and with the company since last 7 years. He was patient and a true mentor for someone like me who joined her first job. With 5 feet'10 inch Silas was charming guy with cute dimple, husky voice & above average looks. Many girls really tried hard to get assign to his team but he loved the app Trisha & I created during our first day and selected us a part of his team.

On reaching the office gates we were asked to assemble near the conference room where the conference had already begun.We quietly walked through the back door and took the few empty seats in last row.

"And now i would like to call Mr. Ryan to address you all" our head of HR announced. Just by hearing his name my heart skipped a beat, Ryan in grey suit looking devastatingly handsome, walking towards the podium.

"Thank you all for joining the meeting today, as you all know we have been expanding our division to other countries as well and have recently decided to focus more on our digital initiative" he said. "And hence it is my wish to personally focus on the digital designing team along with Ms. Sheena Malik my colleague who is appointed as Head of Design effective immediately" he said.

"Seriously, does that model even understand D of digital?" Trisha said clearly as shocked as i was. I knew that our head of department Mr. William was going to be retiring soon but having a inexperienced model named as the HOD was definitely shocking.

"Oh you dont know then i guess, Sheena is his girlfriend, i dint not take Ryan as one of those d**k minded bosses" Silas said surprised too. On stage Sheena entered the forum & took the seat next to Ryan after getting congratulated from the people on stage. "Seriously they look like Kevin & Barbie together, lets hope the Barbie keeps playing dress-up and let us do the work!" Trisha said which made me giggle. Sheena sure does a lot of dressing up throughout the trip at Bali I swear she changed at every location possible to ensure perfect snap.

The rest of the announcement was more focused on the roadmap and other functional activities blah blah. I was anyway only focused on Ryan, he was there in the same room right infront of me. So close i could see him search the crow many a times before turning to speak to sheena or someone near him. Throughout the conference sheena was either saying something to Ryan in his ear, smiling at him, touching his arms no doubt to clearly send a message to others that they were more than colleagues.

By lunch break the conference had ended and we were asked to get back to work post lunch. "Someone is dreamy today, stop thinking so much about the change! Nothing will happen to the new appointees" Silas said smiling. He thought i was dazed because of the fear of management change, if only he knew. I smiled and continued my eating. "You all mind me joining for lunch" without turning back i could tell it was Ryan standing behind me. I felt shiver go all over my body by just hearing him this up-close. Everyone quickly stood to greet him shocked to see the CEO in cafeteria the first time, usually they eat at the executive lounge. He took the empty seat next to me. He smiled and acknowledged other before turning to look at me. "You thinking of hiding from me now wife? he whispered just loud enough for me to hear.
