Chapter 12: Gone Again

"I want to see her, son. I want to meet your mate" A lot of times has Nicholas been pressured by his mother to ask him about his mate.
But Nicholas doesn't want to give pressure to Florina, he knows that the girl has not yet accepted that she will stay in the world of werewolves for the rest of her life. Maybe when Florina accepts she belongs here in Primordial, that might be the right time to introduce her to the entire Primordial pack but not now.
"Soon Mom, you will just stress my mate. Until now she still hasn't yet accepted that she belongs here in our world, I need to give her more time to accept everything" Nicholas explained to his mother.
"Tell me, son, are you just forcing your mate to be with you?" His mother raised an eyebrow while waiting for Nicholas' answer.
Nicholas bit his lower lip, his mother will get angry with Nicholas because it is true that he only forced Florina. But that is the only way for him to be with the girl when he returns.
"She wouldn't be here today if I didn't force her " When Nicholas said that, his mother immediately hit him on the shoulder.
"You are your father's son, you didn't even let your mate decide on her own," his mother said angrily.
"Well Mom, I need to do that. I need to be with her before the eclipse, I don't want to die early because I haven't accomplished properly becoming the Alpha of the Primordial. I promised Father before he passed away that I would protect the pack he built and I will fulfill that" he explained to his mother and that is also why he reached the point where he had to forcibly bring his mate to their world.
"I understand you son, but how about your mate? She will not immediately accept that she belongs in our world forever, what will you do?" Her mother asked worriedly.
Nicholas let out a deep breath. "I let her think for a while, I don't want to force her to let me mark her as my mate and the future Luna of my pack. But I won't take her back to her world, she will stay by my side forever."
"I'll let you decide what is right to do, Nicholas. But you should know that everything has a limit, please don't hurt your mate, son," his mother reminds Nicholas.
"I will never hurt her, mother. That woman is so precious to me. This is how you feel when you find what the moon goddess destined for you. You know that feeling mother, it's like something is missing in your personality that only she can fill. ," Nicholas said full of emotion, which in turn gave a smile to his mother. She saw in her son's eyes, how precious the girl was to Nicholas.
"You are really like your father. Do you know that I was pregnant before he brought me into this world," said his mother while looking at his father's picture.
Until their conversation with his mother was interrupted by a knock on the door. Nicholas stood up from his seat and he opened the door, one of his men appeared before him.
"What is it Gabriel?" he immediately asked the man who knocked.
"Some of the pack members found a cut head of a werewolf hanging at the gate. Alpha, it looks like it's another threat from the Dark Blood."
Nicholas's hand turned into a fist because of the news heard from his men. He looked at his mother again and his mother's face showed concern. One of the biggest enemies of the Primordial pack is the Dark Blood pack, these are groups of werewolves under black magic. The Dark Blood is known for using dark magic to kill someone and sometimes they use it to steal someone's mate. So Nicholas needs to be more careful, especially now that Florina is with him.
"Where is the head of that dead werewolf? Keep the pups away from where you saw the severed head, it might traumatize them."
Nicholas' staff immediately followed what was said. He was concerned about the children because it could result in trauma for them. Shadow suddenly entered his mind, until now he still hadn't finished threatening him. Shadow is the daughter of the Alpha of Dark Blood, during the times when he had no idea how to find his mate in the human world, Shadow gave him what he needed as a man, but at that time Nicholas didn't know that Shadow was from Dark Blood. He thought the woman came from the lost island, but she lied to Nicholas. That's also why Nicholas cut his connection with Shadow.
But he regretted everything, especially when he already felt his longing for his mate. He stops Shadow from intervening before he goes to the human world but Shadow still doesn't want to stop Nicholas. He was about to follow his men when he saw Tarah, rushing down the stairs with fear on her face. Nicholas was suddenly worried because she was the one he ordered to deliver food for his mate.
"Alpha Nicholas please forgive me." When the woman got right in front of him, she immediately knelt and begged.
"WHY?! WHAT HAPPENED?!" Nicholas asked emphatically to the woman who was now in tears in front of him. Nicholas's chest beat suddenly became stronger, he was suddenly worried for Florina. Is there something bad that happened to his mate?
"I-I don't know what happened. She ordered me to go out of your room and I followed what she said. Forgive me Alpha Nicholas but when I came back inside, all I found inside the room were some fabrics tied to the window frame."
Nicholas left the woman and immediately went to Florina's room, but when opened the door of his room, he didn't see any sign of Florina. His hands turned into fists and his worries started to change into anger. Anger because Florina escapes again, until now the woman still does not trust him.
"Just keep running, Florina. When I get you again, I will do everything so that you will never leave me. I will do everything just to make you stay by my side."
He can only think of one way for Florina to stay by his side, and that is to mark her. Once Nicholas finds that woman again, he will mark her whether she likes it or not.
