Wayne sprang into action lowering his head and smashing into Wolf's belly, Wolf just barely slipped a little to the side and caught the squire's shoulder. Wayne pitched forward and fell sprawled onto the ground. Wolf still ended up with a hard blow to his belly and he was knocked back into a tree.
The squire instantly got back on his feet and charged Wolf again. The page had more time and sidestepped the squire. There was no contact. "Think you're clever?" shouted Wayne. This time the squire started swinging his fists and Wolf started blocking.
It was a desperate situation; all that the bigger squire had to do was land one head-shot. Wolf's arms were weakening. He couldn't tell how many blows Wayne landed on his arms, maybe twenty. He gambled and stepped into the squire's grabbing range
