The two pages finished their break and started drawing a crude map. It didn't have to be high quality; it would just identify vegetation types and where they were. The information would be transferred to copies. The Raven wanted it crude so his students would have to figure things out.
First they drew the rough map while standing on top of the bluff, and then they hiked down to reclaim their horses and rode off the areas on the map looking for good landmarks. For the final step they drew areas of vegetation; trees, bushes and grasses.
The Raven would mark it up later as to what he wanted on it. It had to look like those small maps in a fantasy book.
