The Stepsisters - English [Completed]

THE bell rang which indicates that the class was over. Thirteen-year-old Jenny immediately shoved her things in her school bag and excitedly ran outside the classroom. She almost trips on the stairway but she managed to find her balance and run again towards the school gate. She was so eager to see her mother who is waiting for her outside the school entrance. She received her mother's text on the last period of her class that says she will fetch her today so they could have dinner together. Ever since then, Jenny became giddily excited. Her mom is a flight attendant and these past few days, her mother was busy with work. So the two of them rarely see each other. Jenny loves her mom so much. Elvira King, her mother, became her father and mother the moment she was born. Jenny's biological father left them before Jenny could see the world. Jenny has no idea why her father left them. And growing up, Jenny did not even get interested in looking for her biological father. It's not because Elvira wouldn't let her see her father but Jenny saw how her mom struggled in raising her on her own. So Jenny had this "I don't care who he is" hole in her heart. And every time Elvira tries to open up about her biological father, Jenny would change the topic herself. Jenny respects her mom so much and she was content being with her. That's what her young heart says. Jenny was getting nearer to the school entrance and saw her mother's car parked nearby. She sped up and was not minding if she bumps someone. She reached her mother's car. Elvira lowered down the side door on the passenger side when she saw her daughter. Jenny gummy smiled and excitedly waved to her mother. "Hop in, baby," Elvira said to her daughter, smiling. Elvira looked so pleased upon seeing Jenny who is so cute every time she's delighted to meet her. Jenny opened the car door and as soon as she stepped in, Elvira gave her daughter small kisses on her face. "Mom... Mom... Stop," Jenny said and pretended to push her mom away. But she was actually enjoying the gesture and attention she was getting from her mother. "Why? Are you afraid that your classmates will see you?" Elvira teased her daughter. "Yeah! I'm a big girl now and it's embarrassing if my classmates will see you treating me as if I'm still a child," Jenny reasoned but actually faking it. "You are a child, Nini. You are my baby." Elvira did not buy Jenny's act. She teased her even more and tickled her. "Moooommmm!!!" Jenny whined but she can't stop laughing. Her mother really knows her weakness. "Stooopppp!!!" she begged when she can't take her mother's tickling. "I will stop if you stop acting like an adult when mommy's around. And say, I'm a baby." "Mooommm!!!" "Say it." "Alright! I'm a baby!" Jenny declared and then pouted. "That's my baby." Elvira stopped tickling Jenny and she gave her one more kiss on her cheek. Elvira can't contain her smile while looking at her precious daughter. "Wear your seat belt, Nini," Elvira reminded her daughter before she started the engine. Jenny obeyed her mother and her bright smile was back. "I love you, baby," Elvira said and kissed the small hands of her daughter. "I love you more, mom," Jenny replied with her gummy smile. Jenny always felt that it was the best day of her life every time she sees her mom healthy, happy, and loving her unconditionally. This was all enough for her until her mom decided to get married. +++ My Mom will always bring me to a good restaurant and treat me with delicious food. So I was not surprised when she brought me to one of the best restaurants in town today. I was so used to it and did not think if there's a special occasion or event today. Though my birthday will be next week and I will turn fourteen, I believe Mom has different plans for that day. Well, I don't know either. Regardless, I am still delighted that I got to see her today after a week of being away from me. That's why I love her so much because she always made sure to make amends with me after her hectic flight schedule. Although my mom was not always around, our neighbor, Aunt Lori is the one always checking on me. She's like my babysitter when Mom was officially accepted as a flight attendant. I was five years old back then.  My mom had me when she was twenty. Her parents did not support her as she was too young to get pregnant and my grandparents were not happy about it. My mom's family belonged to the middle-class family so they were disappointed when mom got pregnant with me at her young age. My mom was a province girl and just went to the city as her chosen course was only offered there. She was close to graduating from her advanced tourism course when she got pregnant with me. My mother is really clever. But as she said, she was fooled and blinded once because of love. Whatever that means, I am not sure what she was talking about. I was three years old when finally my grandparents accepted us and helped my mom again, financially, to continue with her study. My mother utilized that chance and she tirelessly studied as well as being a full-time mother to me. Mom always says she never regretted having me. That I was a blessing and I made her who she is today. I never really understand it but by the looks that Mom is giving me every time she says those words, I felt a joy in my heart. We live in a condo unit nearby school so it was really not difficult for me if Mom was not around. I saw how my mom raised me on her own and the last thing I could do is be a pain on her ass. So I made sure to at least lessen her burden in raising me by being a good girl at school and maintain my decent grades. I am not as clever as my mom but I am diligent and study a lot. I never understood this before but at my young age, I've come to realize that I am still blessed with a mother when one of my classmates in grade school lost both of her parents in an accident. I might never understand her pain but just thinking of losing my mom in my life, I don't know if I will survive it. Anyway, going back to the restaurant, I was holding mom's hand when we approached a handsome man with a cute little girl beside him. I was about to ask Mom who the people in front of us were but she beat me to it. "Jenny, this is Primo and her daughter Lily, they will be our soon to be family." I am not sure if I heard it right but the guy, whom mom addressed as Primo, just said the words I am not certain how to respond. "Hi Jenny, I am Primo, your soon to be Dad."
