"WHERE is Rosie?" I discreetly asked Jesu. We are in our first period class for the day and her seat was still empty. "No. She might be running late," she whispered. "Okay," I said. The teacher was doing the roll call but Rosie was still not here. She was tagged absent since she did not really come until the end of the first period. "I'll call her," Jesu said.
