Chapter 9

Sandra

I am alone in the room. My mind in a haze.

It is too much to process. Too much to go through. I just can't think straight.

I kept sitting on the bed like a statue for ...like an eternity.

I shook my head after a long time.

It can't go on like that. You have to start thinking

but how, from where.

Ok! Just start focusing on the situation you have at your hand, my brain screams,

but my heart was still crying over its loss.

You just stop it!! You're not supposed to think about Daniel now, my brain screams again.

And thus started a tug of war like situation between my brain and my heart.

I just can't believe it. It can't be true. Daniel really betrayed me. I trusted him so much with my everything. He had taken my home, my credit card, my bank balance just everything!!

You just stop ranting over Daniel Daniel. He had betrayed you, you have to accept it.

Just stop thinking about Daniel and start thinking how to get Revenge from him. It was your fault at first hand Ok. I was screaming at that time also not to trust him that much but you, you never listened to me.

Now just concentrate on the situation we are having at hand. You have got married and that too, a contract marriage to an unknown person.

What is there to think about? Marriage cannot be a contract. You have to just reject his offer right away, but wait he said he had his reasons.

What reasons he probably could have? He is hot as Hell, and it seems that he is rich also. So then, why the hell he wanted to be in a contract marriage? Is he impotent or a gay?

You should not focus on his reasons. You cannot ask him. We don't know each other to ask at the first place. What if he will start asking you about your situation. Can you explain? No, you can't. So stop thinking about his reasons and start thinking about yourself.

What is there to think about? You just cannot accept this offer. Can you be a contract wife for one year. It's impossible. It's like selling yourself, your dignity. You should ask him how to get away from this contract. If it is by paying the penalty then you should pay it and go away from here.

Oh really! And from where are you going to pay the amount? Remember you willingly gave your credit and debit cards to that bastard Daniel and he had emptied your bank account. You don't even have that much money to go back to your town. Neither you have any place to live, he had even transferred your apartment to his name. You need to consider this proposal thoughtfully.

There is no way on the earth that I am going to say yes for this. Don't you have a conscious? How you can say yes? This is just unacceptable.

Just think practically for once. He is asking you to be his WIFE, not a MISTRESS, as Daniel had alleged you. Moreover you can live here for free and you can search for a job. You can earn money and then you decide what is the next step that you should do.

Living here for free! Are you out of your mind. You have to live like a wife that means a lot. What if he will ask for physical relation and say that it is a part of contract. There have to be physical intimacy between husband and wife. Are you ready for that!

No! a big NO!!

First of all ask him to get a copy of the contract, go through the contract and ask him that you won't involve physically with him. If there is no clause like that then ask him to add it. He seems desperate. He definitely would add it.

You need to just act like his wife for an year. It may be like you are doing acting in a movie.

Acting in a movie! This is real life, for God sake!!

Ok, this is real life but you need to take this as an acting opportunity only. No involvement of heart or emotions or anything else. This can work out in this way only.

You are having answers to every question huh. I think, I am sinking now. Just do whatever you think is right.

Good for you then. Just stop. Nobody want your opinion anyway.

Just prioritise your actions, you need to do.

First of all ask him for the copy of the contract, go through it and search for any loopholes it may have. Try to get away from it if possible.

Secondly, if you have to go with the contract try to know him, his family and know about this place. Search for an agency from where you can get some modelling project or acting projects, that can help you to earn some money.

Next plan your revenge. That bastard need a lesson to be taught.

Ok, Ok, stop both of you. I think for now I need to focus on whatever my brain has said. This time, I will let my brain decide for me, as my father had always said. Let's see what will be the outcome.

Even if it seems Ok, there was a feeling of uneasiness inside me. I was still in a Jeopardy whether to go for it or not.

There were a lot of ifs and buts roaming around in the pit of my stomach.

I always wanted to be an actress but haven't got a big role till now. Will I be able to do justice to this role of a contract wife and that too when it is in a real life situation.

But then, Do I really have any options? Do I really have anywhere else to go?

You can always go to your home, you know your family loves you.

I have left my family to make a name for myself. I cannot go back to them until and unless I have achieved something in my life. Then only my father will be proud of me.

He will never be proud of you if he get to know that you were involved in a contract marriage.

I sighed.

This is really a very tough decision to make.

In the dining room

Rosa and Aidan Carter were shocked at their son's behaviour. He had never behaved like that. Leaving the breakfast in between . He was arrogant in office but he always respected his parents.

In the past, he had never raise his voice on his parents.

They were shocked and were looking at each other.

"What's wrong with him?" Aidan said.

"It's ok honey. I think he is under a lot of stress himself. This is a normal reaction under these situations." Rosa said.

"Well! I must say that now what had been done, had been done. We should now look forward to the present and the future. There is no denying the fact that Sam has married Sandra. Now she is our daughter-in-law. We should accept her and welcome her in the best possible way." Aidan said.

"Sure honey! I was about to say the same. We should accept her and welcome her. I will go and buy some clothes for her. I haven't seen her luggage. I don't know if she is having anything to wear or not." Rosa said happily.

"Sure thing honey. Just go to her and make sure that she feels comfortable here. This is now her home. Please make sure she should get proper rest. The doctor had said that she was under stress. I will go to the office now. I will meet her in the evening if she is comfortable." Aidan said and he was ready to leave for the office.

"Don't worry honey, I will make sure that she won't be having any problem. She would be feeling like at home. Finally I am getting a daughter and I will really spoil her." Rosa chuckled.

Aidan also smiled and place a kiss on his wife's forehead and left for office.

After sometime, Rosa also left to buy some clothes for Sandra. She came back after two hours and went towards Sam's room.

It's time to meet my daughter now.
