Chapter 5
Sam's P.O.V.
I was still holding her in my arms while she was on the floor. My parents came running towards me with Dr. Ken (our family physician). I can hear a commotion in the hall .I was still wondering whether she is acting or she has actually fainted. One thing was very sure that she was actually freezing cold.
Dr. Ken came forward and started examining her He checked her pulse and I can see a bit of worry on his face.
"Her pulse is feable. She is sinking .We need to shift her to the hospital immediately."Dr Ken yelled.
Is he really a doctor.He just cannot make out if she is acting or may be she is really sick. Anyway it is good for me. I can just run away from this damn place.
"Come on Sam. What you are thinking ? Just take her to the hospital."came his annoyed voice.
I just nodded and carried her in bridal style towards my car with Ethan trailing behind me.
I am damn sure all the media persons are getting the perfect pose they wanted.
I placed her on the backseat of my car carefully. My parents were also running towards me. My mother was very anxious. She wanted to go with me but I just stopped her I told my father that there should be someone to handle the guests. My father nodded in agreement and told me that they will reach the hospital as soon as everything is settled here.
As we reached the hospital Dr. ken was already there with emergency nurses and a stretcher. They took her urgently to the emergency room.
I got seated on one of the benches laid outside of the ER.
This was one hell of a day of my life I sighed.
Ethan patted my shoulder lightly
After sometime Dr.Ken came out of the ER. He looked tired. "We almost lost her. She was in a state of shock due to hypothermia. Thank god we reached the hospital in time. I think she will be fine soon.Her vitals are stable now. You can take her home after two hours of observation."Dr. Ken informed me and I nodded.
My parents reached the hospital just in time. My mother was still worried.
"Mom , I think you should go and take some rest you are looking very tired.I will bring her home when the doctor will allow."
But she refused and I sighed.. She was a compassionate lady and I knew that.
I make them sit on the benches outside the ER I went to the cafeteria to grab a cup of coffee with Ethan behind me.
Caffeine !! I want it badly now.
Ethan was unusually silent today. it is difficult for him to keep his mouth shut.
"What is it Ethan ? What is bothering you?"I asked him.
"Do you really think you made a good decision today Sam?"
"I really don't know man . I just did whatever I think was right at that moment. Anyway ..from where you have found that girl? Do you know anything about her?"I asked him while sipping my coffee.
"I just found her sitting on the pavement when you were calling me to find a bride for you . I just do not know anything about her and I told you that."
"Anyway that girl is your wife now " he said after a pause.
."Yeah I know that and now I should check her background . I should call Louis to find out about her."I sighed.
"Ok I will take your leave now. Just take good rest and take care of her . I will meet you day after tomorrow at office I suppose. Tomorrow you were taking a day off?"
"Yeah Good night Ethan! I will meet you at office day after tomorrow."
He went to the parking and I went to the ER, where my parents were still waiting. After sometime ,the nurse came out and announced that we can take her to our home.
We soon reached home.
I have to carry her all the way from my car and I was heading towards the guest room when my mother interrupted me.
"Where do you think you are taking her. She is your wife now. You should take her to your room."My mom was staring towards me with raised brows
She can sometimes be a pain in the ass Really!!
"Yeah how can I forget that"this is getting frustrating now. Am I supposed to share my room with an unknown girl now. I have to think of some other way out.
I carried her to my room and placed her on my bed.. She was still in her wedding gown with veil covering her face partially. This is the first time that anyone else is on my bed other than me. It felt weird
So this girl sleeping peacefully on my bed is my wife now for one year. I hope this one year will pass soon.
I went to the bathroom and took a hot shower. It is really relaxing.
After my relaxing hot shower I came out of the bathroom wearing my sweatpants and a simple t-shirt.
I glanced towards her. She was still sleeping peacefully.
Now where I will sleep?
I never shared my room with anyone else in my whole life. It really felt weird for me now. I tried to sleep on the couch but it was very uncomfortable and I was very exhausted.
Sighing I just laid on the other side of the bed and let the sleep engulf me.
Next day I woke up at 7 in the morning. I was hell tired from the night but my biological clock won't allow me to sleep after 7.
I turn towards other side and there she was sleeping peacefully now also .
I shook my head .I went to the private gym in my house and then came back after half an hour, took a quick shower, got ready and went for the breakfast. She was still peacefully sleeping.
How can someone sleep in such an uncomfortable wedding gown!!??
Is she a sleeping beauty!!???
