Chapter 3

Artemis walked up to her room and locked the door, sat down on the bed and looked at the peach blossom tree not too far away, staring at it blankly not knowing what was going on in her mind.

It was only a day before the race match between Artemis and lucas

She needed money to buy a sports car, the commission she obtained from her mission in her past life could buy her a fleet of cars

But this isn’t her past life and the original owner is short out of cash

She hacked into her account and obtained the money of Ten million dollars, after doing all this she covered her tracks

She was stepping out of the house; suddenly she was stopped at the entrance of the house by a voice

“Where do you think you’re going?” Mia asked looking disdainfully

Artemis turned around and glanced at Mia, “I don’t need to report you every time I go out”

With that she left. “This good for nothing piece of trash!!” Mia shouted angrily

Artemis hailed a taxi and arrived at Euro car, a very expensive car shop in LA with different cars carefully and exquisitely arranged, all of which their prices will be up to six figures or more

“Hello madam, is there anything I can help you with?” the receptionist came to Artemis and asked politely

“I’m here to buy a car” Artemis said lightly

Suddenly, there was a voice, gentle, sweet and kind which feels like you’re eating cotton candy once you listen to it

“Sister~”

It was Delilah and she’s with Lucas

“What bad luck!” thought Artemis

“Sister, what a coincidence, Lucas and I came to modify his car. Sister, are you here to buy a car?”

Artemis didn’t answer and spoke to the receptionist “can I see the Lamborghini’s”

“Yes miss, right this way” the receptionist made a gesture for Artemis to follow

A cold snort came from Lucas’s throat

“Do you know how much a Lambo is? Can you even afford it?” Lucas said mockingly

Artemis gave a cold glance at Lucas instantly shutting him up

The receptionist face also changed slightly, this young lady wore very simple clothes looking much worn out she didn’t look like someone that could afford a Lamborghini

Artemis saw the disdainful look from the receptionist but chose to remain silent, her eyes gradually turned icy

“Madam, can you really afford this car?” the receptionist looking a little disdainful scrutinizing Artemis up and down

Artemis faced darkened, her eyes icy

“Sister, Lamborghini’s are very expensive, can you afford it?” Delilah said her eyes containing undisguised malice

The receptionist face darkened instantly “Madam I advise you to leave if you cannot afford this car”

Artemis remained calm and composed without any ripples in her expression

“Who said I can’t buy this car?” Artemis said arrogantly

“Sister it’s not good to make false claims of having money, I checked your account you don’t even have up to a hundred dollars in your bank account”

Artemis looked around the fleets of cars not answering Delilah, her gaze landed on a black sports car; its dark color gave a very mysterious style with a touch of elegance making it look very beautiful

It will look very good if she drove this at night

“How much is this?” asked Artemis

“4.59 million” replied the receptionist

She pulled out her card “Swipe it”

The receptionist was about to collect the card when they heard a voice “Don’t bother yourself, it will definitely decline” it was Stella, Delilah’s lackey

Artemis turned and glanced at Stella, it was just a glance but it felt like being stared at by the grim reaper making her involuntarily break out in a cold sweat

“Good dogs don’t bark so shut up!” Artemis said coldly

Stella gritted her teeth “Artemis how dare you!” she just compared her to a dog, who does she think she is?! “Instead of making false claims and wasting everybody’s time just admit that you don’t have the money to afford the car!”

Artemis didn’t expect to run into multiple dogs on her way here, she didn’t want to waste so much time.

“Swipe the card I have other matters to attend to!” Artemis said looking impatient

“Hey!! Why are you wasting everybody’s time, we also want to purchase cars”

“Yeah, if you can’t afford it, get out of here!!”

Shouts came from other customers at the entrance

“Artemis, you heard them, get out of here!!”

“Madam, I’m sorry I’ll have to ask you to leave our shop” the receptionist said looking both angry and helpless

Artemis scanned the crowd

Since these dogs don’t know when to stop barking it’s time to put them on a leash

Artemis called fox

“Yes boss?”

“I’m at Euro cars shop; I don’t need to explain the rest you know what to do”

“Yes boss!!” Fox said

She hung up the phone and looked up at everyone. “I, Artemis, say to all of you, the manager of this shop will personally give this car to me!” Artemis said resolutely

Everywhere went silent, you could hear a pin drop, and then there was burst of laughter

What was a Euro car? A very prominent shop in different countries earning billions of dollars in revenue and the manager was a very famous man, all wealthy people in LA have to make appointments which is very hard to come by and this young girl who hasn’t even seen the world yet is making such bold claims, it’s really funny just thinking about it.

“You think to highly of yourself, the manager of this shop will come and kneel in front of you”

“Hahaha, if the boss does come here I’ll strip myself bare and run around and bark like a dog” said Lucas.

“Oh really ~” Artemis said with a sly smile

That look made Lucas pale for a moment
