Ren arrived at his girlfriend's house just on time. She's already done eating and just washing the dishes while the television are on to make her feel safe.
It's because Yvanna doesnt like to feel alone, that's why when no one is around her, she'll do anything to keep her mind preoccupied.
"I was too hungry, I couldnt wait. Do you want me to prepare some food for you?" She asked.
"No, it's okay." He answered.
He leaned against the wall just looking at Yvanna doing the dishes. He couldnt help but to smile and seize this kind of moments.
He likes it when his girlfriend is like this, doing simple things and being caring. He missed this side of her that just dissapeared without a warning.
Taking in a deep breathe, he walked towards the girl hugging her from the back even kissing her shoulder blades.
Is it Yvanna's fault? She's following every order of her parents. She's pressured and totally stressed because of the high expectations and the reputation she must keep.
"Sorry, I am totally losing it these days, Ren." She said apologetically.
Renzeus did nothing but to slightly nod his head and smiled crinkling his nose that made his girlfriend let out a small laugh.
He pulled away when his phone vibrated from his pocket. He fished it out and opened the message that he received.
Celestine:
Where are you? Mom's scolding us because you're not home!
He rolled his eyes shutting his eyes closed before giving his girlfriend a kiss on the forehead.
"I need to go home, Van. I'll see you tomorrow." He said in almost a whisper.
He didnt even wait for his girlfriend to say something and just walked away knowing that she wouldnt let him go just like that.
In times like that, he doesnt want to go too knowing that it's rare to have Yvanna in such a good mood. When will that happen again? That's why he wants to make the best out of it.
Though, he needs to go home. He's been out for almost two days, his mother is probably mad at him as well as his siblings.
Renzeus lives in Manila, his parents grew up there and a lot of their relatives are scattered in the area.
When he arrived home, he took in a deep breathe before finally going inside meetig his sibling's gaze.
"Where did you go?" Celestine asked.
"You're with your girlfriend?" Zoreene added.
"f**k you! We already played." Donny hissed.
He ran his fingers through his hair hating his siblings as of the moment.
Though, he's at fault too.
They always have to play basketball these days. It's in the afternoon, they get money if they win and that's what they uses to buy their food.
"Are you with Yvanna?" Tine asked in disbelief.
He knows that it wont be good once he lied to his sister since she'll eventually found out about it so he just nod his head.
"I thought you're going to break up with her." She rolled her eyes.
Yvanna is not in good terms with Ren's sisters, it's because of how she's acting whenever she's in the house.
It seems as if she wants everybody to adjust with what she wants and Ren's sisters hates it so much, the fact that the girl wanted them to do exactly what she wants.
"Where's Mama?" He asked.
Celestine shrugged her shoulders, her lips protruding a little bit, thinking where did their mother went again.
"Tell her, I came home, ha?"
He stood up and it made Tine raised her brows.
"You're seriously going back to that girl?" She asked, offended.
"No, I wont. I'll just take a walk." He scoffed.
He went out of their small house and walked straight without even thinking where he should go.
He doesnt want to stay inside their house knowing that his siblings are irritated with him.
He forgot! He knows that he shouldnt but he really forgot about it and there is no excuses so he'll just accept the treatment.
Renzeus squinted his eyes when he saw someone walking from the other side of the street, someone who looks eerily familiar.
He let out a small smile when he realized who it is, he immediately went to the other side and poked the shoulder of that someone.
A loud scream can be heard after that which made Ren to cover her mouth.
"You're the girl from the coffee shop earlier, right?" He asked.
The girl tilted her head to the right and her mouth went slightly agaped even nodding her head as if remembering Renzeus already.
"Oh, yeah. I remember you."
"Of course you'll remember me. Im the only customer."
The girl glared at his remarks which made him put his hands up in mock defense.
"We have a lot of customers at night and early in the morning." She defended.
He let out a big smile nodding his head vigorously mocking the girl next to him.
"Okay, okay. I believe you." He said.
Renzeus stopped walking and stood across of the girl who's holding a plastic bag which he assumed has a food in it. Is she living alone?
"What's your name?" He asked.
The girl looked at him from head to toe as if examining if he's a guy she could really trust, it made him smirk.
"Im not a bad guy." He said.
The girl protruded her lips crossing her arms before she shrugged her shoulders.
"Merille..."
