Chapter Fourteen

Leviathan POV

I woke early despite my lack of sleep so I could join my pack during training. It was the only good part of my day. After, I would need to get ready for my life to change. I quickly changed into workout clothes and headed to the field. I met Titan heading the same way. I could see the questions in his eyes, but I just shook my head. He would know later, but I needed to focus right now. We trained for a few hours and worked up a sweat. After it was over I mindlinked Titan, Chandra, and Jericho. “My office in 30 minutes.” It was a demand, but I didn’t use my Alpha tone. I tried not to use it too much. I made it back to the pack house and grabbed a quick breakfast sandwich before heading to take a quick shower.

I made it to the office in 20 minutes. No one else was here yet. I sat at my desk and took a deep breath to keep myself calm. I was nervous even when I shouldn’t be. I was Alpha doing the best for my pack, even if it didn’t seem like it. Titan, Chandra, and Jericho filed in. I motioned for them to shut the door and sit. I took a breath and tried to figure out how to start. “So, I found my mate.” Chandra gasps and a huge smile comes across her face. She looks around, expecting what I wasn’t sure. There isn’t a lot of hiding spaces in the office. Jericho remains calm and serious, which I expected. Chandra speaks up first.

“Where is she?” I sighed, knowing how Chandra was going to be. “In the dungeon.” I could see Chandra getting pissed before my eyes. “Why in the hell is she there?” I looked to Titan. He just threw up his hands. “She was a rogue that came onto our grounds. That is why I left the office in a hurry. She came back after just recently leaving our hospital and being escorted from the land. She was captured, raving that someone was after her. She was taken to the cells and when she refused to answer our questions she was whipped.” I could feel the fury rolling off Chandra. “You just let that happen? Did you even try to help her? You are such a d**k. You are NOT the Alpha I thought you were.” She whipped around and stormed out of the room. Titan chuckled. I turned on him. “What?” He ran his hand through his hair. “Man, you should not have started with that. You know how she is. She hates that crap and she believes in the fate of Mates more than anyone else. She is gonna get even more pissed when she realizes you are gonna reject her.” I froze. “What do you mean reject her?” I could feel my Alpha power rolling off my body. I was getting pissed. Titan could feel it and looked down in submission. “Well I mean, she is a rogue. She can’t be Luna.” I couldn’t stop Altair from taking control of my arms. I grabbed Titan by the throat and lifted him off the ground. Jericho quickly stepped in front of my face. “Alpha, put Beta Titan down or you’ll kill him.” My eyes focused and I snapped my hand back, causing Titan to fall on the ground. I took a breath and sat down.

I watched Titan stand up. I could tell he wanted to say something, but he stayed quiet knowing his place. I took a deep breath. “I am not going to reject her. I am not going to introduce her as Luna, but I am going to integrate her into the pack. I will get the answers I need first. She won’t be able to lie to me.” I looked at my friends. “I expect you to show her respect and help her when she needs it. I’m not sure what is going to happen in the future, but I have to believe Goddess has something in mind when she linked us together.” I turned to Titan whose anger was fading away along with my own. “Sorry about that. Altair couldn’t stand the way you were talking about our mate. I couldn’t stop him.” Titan nodded in understanding. “I get it. It takes a lot when you first meet your mate to not snap the neck of anyone who looks at her. I’m surprised you let us get away yesterday.” I knew he was talking about seeing her naked and I had to close my eyes to calm Altair down. “Settle down. Titan is our friend and mated already. He didn’t know. Hell, we didn’t know.” He growled at my words but settled. “You can go. Titan apologize to Chandra for me and explain to her what happened. I don’t feel like opening the link up just for her to yell at me.” He rolled his eyes. “Yeah so she can yell at me.” I laughed. “Exactly, but you can make it up to her.” He smiled probably imagining making it up to her. I threw him out quickly then got ready to go to the cells.
