Chapter Thirty-Four
Elenora POV There was something different about this darkness. It was almost like I was getting my senses back. I could smell the forest after a midnight rain. How did I know that smell? I also smelled pine. It was an amazing smell. I wanted to find it, but I couldn’t move. I started to feel electricity running through my body. I realized that someone was touching me. I struggled to break the darkness. It felt so important for me to know who was touching me and why I was smelling those amazing smells. I struggled for how long I wasn’t sure. Time made no sense in the darkness. Finally, I heard a beeping sound. It made no sense. What would be beeping? Surely not what was causing those heavenly smells or the electricity. I needed to see. I strained to open my eyes, but nothing was happening.
