I woke up in my bed alone. I didn’t remember falling asleep, but I knew Levi was with me when I did. Did he leave after deciding he couldn’t love the daughter of the man who killed his parents? He said he didn’t care, but what if he changed his mind after I fell asleep? I prayed that wasn’t it. I needed him. My body needed him.
