Chapter Twenty

Leviathan POV

I could feel the fury coming off my body in waves. I know she felt it too. Altair was fighting me for control “Let me rip the throats out of the men who hurt her. I want to hunt them down and watch the life leave their eyes.” “Altair calm down. You’ll hurt Elenora if we shift and run off now.”  I could feel him starting to calm down. He growls in anger but allows me to keep control. I open my eyes. I see my sweet mate crying bending her head in submission. I could feel her fear and sadness mixed together. She thinks I am going to hurt her. I lift my arm to bring her closer to me when I hear her whisper those words that I wasn’t sure I was ever going to hear. She loves me. I reach out to her and bring her into me. I kiss the top of her head. “I love you too baby.” The tears continue to stream down her face, but I can feel her fear leaving. “You aren’t mad about who my father is?” I shake my head as I wipe the tears from her face. “No. You don’t have to be afraid of him anymore either. I killed him years ago. Now that I know what he did to you I wish I could bring him back to life just to kill him all over again.” She shivered against me. “He’s dead?” “Yes love. He’s dead.” She started to sob uncontrollably. I just held on to her until she fell asleep. It was well past midnight. We had spent all day in her room. What I had learned had been rolling around in my head. I got up without disturbing her too much. I covered her so she wouldn’t be cold then I mindlinked Titan and Jericho. “I know it’s late, but I need you both in my office now. It’s important.” I could hear Titan groan in my head as I woke him from his sleep. I shut the link, knowing they would both be there.

I was sitting in my office when they stumbled in. Titan looked like he had been hit by a train, but Jericho was wide awake looking like he had just slept 8 hours. Titan laid down on the couch. “You gonna tell us why you needed us in here so quickly that you couldn’t even put on a shirt?” I looked at myself realizing that I never got redressed after Elenora tore my shirt. My cheeks turned red and I tried to sidestep that part of the question. “Elenora told me about what happened when she first arrived. We need to hunt down three rogues by the name of Max, Ralph, and Felix. They are the cause of her injuries.” I burned with shame because I knew they were not the only causes of her injuries. I just hoped she would forgive me. Titan shot up on the couch. “Is that where you have been all day? It’s about damn time you listened to your wolf. I know he’s been hounding you to go see her. I’m guessing she is the reason you don’t have a shirt.” He smirked and raised his eyebrows. I smiled, willing myself not to be embarrassed. Wolves are s****l creatures and it is near impossible to be around your mate and not bury yourself in her. “Yes. You wanna hear how she ripped my shirt off and screamed my name?” Titan threw a pillow at me. “Dude, gross! You’re like a brother to me. I do not want to hear about you getting your rocks off. I’m surprised though. Chandra told me how broken she seems.” The tone of the room changed. I nodded my head. “She is. She filled me in about her past and it’s f****d up. I’m going to respect her privacy though. I didn’t do anything she wasn’t ready for.” Titan nodded. “I know you wouldn’t. You love her. She has you whipped dog!” I laughed “Should I tell Chandra she doesn’t have you whipped?” A look of fear came across Titan making me laugh harder. Jericho joined in. He didn’t have a mate, but he knew Titan was putty in Chandra’s hands. Titan growled and laid back on the couch with his arms crossed. “Shut up.”

After we were done messing around, I got serious once again. I looked to Jericho. “I need you to lead the hunt for these wolves. I need them dead. I would rather they be brought here to die by my hands, but if needed they can be killed in the field. They no longer get to live after what they did.” Jericho nodded. “Yes Alpha. I will assemble a team of warriors to help me. We will leave the day after tomorrow.” I shook my head. “You will leave tomorrow. Now go, get some sleep.” He got up to leave “Yes Alpha.” I looked to Titan, “How are the protections at the border? I don’t want any of them being able to sneak in here.” Titan got up and sat in a chair in front of the desk. “They are tight. We have minimal hiding spots. We would know if someone came across the border unwanted.” I nodded, still worried. “Elenora can’t go out by the border under we get them under wraps, but I don’t know how to tell her. I don’t know how she will react to us hunting them down. I actually don’t know a lot about her besides what she just told me.” Titan smiled. “Take her on a date. Just you two, maybe in the city, away from the pack. Chandra loves our date nights.” He wiggles his eyebrows. I shoo him out of the office and head back up to my floor. I don’t hesitate to go back into Elenora’s room. She is still fast asleep in bed. Tomorrow I would move her to my room then we will get to know each other better. I ease myself onto the mattress. As if she can feel my presence, she shifts towards me. Her bare breasts pressed against my bare chest making my d**k rock solid. This was going to be a long night.
