Chapter Two

1235 Words
As soon as I sat down, James stood up and went over to order our drinks. I knew as soon as they suggested they should come here, I was going to be in for a long night. The performers drink for free on the day they play. I honestly don't know how the festival organisers afford it. Coming back to the table, He passed out beers to all the guys and then placed a bottle of cola in front of me before sitting down. Why don't I get a beer? I was about to ask when I remembered he was going to get drunk tonight... So, I probably shouldn't annoy him or give him a reason to be mad at me. Smiling, I thanked him for my drink and took a big gulp. 'How about we have a couple of drinks here and then just head back to our hotel?' I was surprised at James' suggestion but didn't argue with it. If he was deciding not to get drunk then I was happy with that! 'Yeah sure'. 'Sounds good' 'Cool' The guys all replied with generic responses and started talking among themselves. I turned to James, About to start a conversation when his phone buzzed and he pulled it out. Smiling, He typed something quickily and put the phone away again. 'Who was that?' He looked at me. I didn't care how it came across. I wanted to know. 'Just a friend'. His tone of voice told me instantly that was the end of the conversation. Biting my tongue, I shook my head and picked my drink up to take another sip. 'What's your problem?' 'Don't have one'. This time, It was my turn to end the conversation with my tone. It was about an hour later, and James and I hadn't spoken a word to each other. I've just kept my head down, drinking my drink, while he said there on his stupid phone. Fine, Two can play at that game. I was tired of being careful around him. If he's gonna be mad, so be it. Taking out my phone, At first, I was just playing around with the buttons, but then I realised I actually had a message from my best friend, Anna that I hadn't replied too. She was just telling me about her weekend and how much fun she was having with her boyfriend in London. I smiled as I typed my reply, But before I could finish, My phone was snatched out of my hands. Angry, I turned to look at my boyfriend, Knowing he was the culprit. 'Give me that back!'. I snapped. 'Who are you texting?!' 'None of your business and why do you care, you've been on your phone all f*****g night!'. The guys were staring at us, but I didn't care that this point. I leaned over and grabbed my phone back, It shocked James to see me so... confident. 'Just you wait till we get home'. He whispered in my ear and moved away. I stole a look at our friends and as soon as my eyes met theirs, they dropped their gaze. For the rest of the night, Random people were coming up to the table, telling the guys how amazing their setlist was and performance was. I just kept my eyes down, Trying not to draw attention to myself. 'Hey guys, Hows it going? Long time, No see!' someone said as they approached the table. I recognised the voice but didn't dare look up. I heard the guys greet whoever it was. I didn't need to look up to see that whoever it was, sat down. 'Whos the chick?' I did look up at that point, and almost fainted, Corey Perry?! Oh my god, oh my god, he was one of my favourite singers! I tried to keep my cool, I couldn't embarrass James or myself by fangirling-out. He just stared at me, smiling. 'She's my cousin' Roman explained. Noone said anything. It was quiet for an uncomfortable amount of time. 'Well... it's nice to meet you, I'm Corey. Do you have a name or shall I just call you Roman's cute cousin?' He asked, Smiling. Holding his hand out to me, I couldn't help but smile back as I tried, and failed, to hide my blushed cheeks. 'It's nice to meet you, I'm Katie'. Taking his hand, I shook it. From then on, Corey stayed at our table, Talking to the guys. Every so often, James would glare at me. I knew he wasn't happy and I knew why. Corey calling me cute, and me not correcting him, But, I tried my hardest to not think about it. There was a small buzzing noise, telling me I had a text, and I silently thanked God for the distraction. Pulling the device from my pocket, I checked it, It was just Abi, My bestie; A: Hey Girl, Hope you're having a good weekend. I want details when you get home! X K: Heyy, Yeah, it's a good weekend to be fair, I'll debrief you when I get back! :) How is your weekend in London? X A: Ah, Don't ask :( x K: Why??? X A: Had a massive fight with the bf, It's not looking good :( :( x K: Oh no :( What was it about? X A: I think he's cheating on me x K: Shhhiiitttt! :O -.- x I was so wrapped up in my conversation with Abi, that I didn't even notice Corey get up and leave the table. He must have thought I was so rude. Great. Now I felt bad. I finally got to meet one of my favourite rockstars and I spend the whole time on my phone, ignoring him. '-Yeah, I just don't know where they are'. I caught the end of Roman's sentence. 'Maybe they're out by the bus, waiting'. Stu added. 'Yeah, Maybe. Let's go and see'. James got up and stretched, Before walking out of the tent. The rest of the guys followed him. I got up and ran after them to keep up. As far as I knew, We were ready to leave the festival and head back to our hotel. The guys had paid their only slot for the weekend and saw no reason to wait around. Walking towards the Bus parking lot, It started to rain. I love the rain. I stopped for a minute to enjoy the feel of the cold raindrops on my skin. It was welcomed after such a hot, sticky day. First thing I'm gonna so when I get back to the hotel... SHOWER! 'Yo, James!' I heard someone shout. I looked, trying to see who it was. I squinted my eyes so I could see them. They were so far away, but it wasn't just one person, there was a group. I looked back at James and the guys. Were they the people the guys were talking about back in the bar-tent? The one, Who I guessed had called James' name was tall, but I still couldn't see his face properly... until he got closer... Looking from him, My eyes flickered to the four men stood behind him. No way! NO WAY!!! 'Hey, guys! You ready to leave?' James was the one to speak. They all nodded together. 'Yeah, sure!'. I couldn't believe it, It was Blackheart! My all time ever band!!!
