Chapter 2The snow continued, flakes falling faster the longer Austin waited. He hovered by the side entrance, checking the time on his phone with increasing nervousness as the day turned to an all too early winter night. It had been ten minutes. What if this guy didn’t show? He caught sight of his reflection in the glass door. His brown hair and blue eyes colorless in the reversed image against the gray background of the outside. Why did he get such a short cut in the middle of winter? Especially with the way his ears stuck out. Then Austin’s brain cycled back around to the passing time. Did the guy understand where to pick him up? Should he head to the main entrance? A janitor walked by, unhappy to find Austin in the building, but rather than ushering him out, warned him the outer doors
