David came to accompany Lia as she was having some problems with her stomach.
He didn’t know why she said they came to visit the gynecologist, neither he pondered over this matter as his concentration was fully on Gloria.
She has become exquisite over time.
She has gained weight in a better way and her face was also flawless.
She looked younger now, with light makeup.
He couldn’t forget how she greeted her indifferently as if they don’t know each other.
How could she move on so fast when he was still standing where they separated?
“David,” Lia called and when he looked at her, she was standing with a frown.
“Where are you lost? It’s our turn.” She jerks his arm but he pulls away from her and stands in a distance.
“Lia, I have something to deal with. You go on. Noah will accompany you.” David said and leave there not giving her any chance to protest.
Lia stood there and stomp his leg.
“How can this b***h still affect him so much?” She thought angrily.
In these five years, Lia has used every method to make him notice her.
But he didn’t even give a glance toward her.
Now when she is back Lia started to feel threatened.
She didn’t want Gloria to make her lose again.
David left leaving Noah there but Lia tell him to go after him as she really was not sick. It was a trick to get David’s attention and left after they drive away from the hospital.
In the car
Noah was pondering informing David about the upcoming party, but it was important so he took a chance.
“Mr. Collin, today Mr. Brent is having a business gathering because of his success with the new product launch,” Noah said in a timid voice, but it gathered David’s attention.
“You know I don’t attend these gatherings.” He said and Noah gulped in fear, noticing his cold gaze.
“But Mr. Jonathan is attending and everyone needs to take a date with them,” Noah said, but his meaning was clear to David.
Jonathan has never taken any date with him.
But it’s not the same now as he has his date present in this country.
“Inform Lia about the party and tell her I will pick her up at 7,” he says in a dismissive tone and Noah shut up happily.
He has achieved his goal.
He doesn’t care what is going on between them, but he didn’t want to be on the receiving end of David’s wrath.
How could he not notice his affection for Gloria when he is working with him in his ups and lows?
If he was not affected by her, how could he still be single when any girl will kill to be with him and not forget about Lia?
He was waiting to see how this party turn’s out for them.
In White Mansion, the old couple was pondering over how to make their granddaughter’s mood better.
Diana came out with an awesome idea and they have already put it into action.
They were waiting for someone who can make them happy even in their saddest moment.
“Mam, Mr. Writes is here.” The maid informed making her beam up with anticipation.
“Quickly, bring him here.” She replied and rub her hand happily.
“Diana, you know how she feels about him and Jonathan’s feelings too.” Mr white warn her but she shake her hand and dismissed his warning.
“I know. But don’t you think it will be better if they come together? He will keep her happy and protect her from everyone.” Diana replied, but he didn’t agree with her.
“Henry. It’s been five years and Gloria couldn’t move on from her past. Yes, Daniel can make her happy, But I don’t like how lonely she is. She needs a partner who can be better than Jonathan.” She suggested, but Henry didn’t reply.
“Hello, Mr and Mrs white.” Jonathan greeted them politely and Diana enthusiastically pull him to sit beside her.
Though Henry didn’t want to push Gloria into another loveless marriage, he liked Jonathan.
So he didn’t say anything.
Who can say maybe they can be together in the future?
Let’s see how it goes.
“Jonathan. How are you son?” He asked and Jonathan started to chat with him.
They were talking about some business when Mrs white stopped them.
“Jonathan, did you meet Gloria?” She asked, and Jonathan’s face lit up.
He actually wanted to meet her first.
But when the couple occupy her, he couldn’t express his heart.
“No, I will just do it after I finish here.” he said in a respectful tone.
“What is important to talk about here? Go and meet them. Daniel will be elated,” she said and Jonathan nodded and got up.
Jonathan has always liked Gloria, and though she never reciprocates, he never moves away from her.
He has tried to be with her whenever she needed him.
He didn’t know his behavior of him made Gloria has suffered the most.
But Gloria was also grateful for him.
When after her divorce she moved away, Jonathan used to fly there and help her with her pregnancy struggle.
Gloria won’t remember a single pregnancy checkup when Jonathan was not there.
She can never thank him enough.
But Jonathan was clear her gratefulness can’t make her love as there is someone still living.
Still, he was ready to stay beside her because he can be happy when he see her happy.
Even if he has to sacrifice her love again, he will do it million times.
“Jonathan, she is sad. Please take care.” Diana said while he was walking upstairs.
Jonathan nod and assure her he will take care of it.
Diana walk to sit beside his husband who was still pondering over her decision.
“Henry, we will never force her. It will be her decision.” She assured him, and he nodded.
“I don’t think we should use that child for our selfish motive,” Henry said and she nod.
“He won’t leave her even if she marries someone else. Love can be painful sometimes.” She sighed.
How these two souls are suffering only because the person they love doesn’t love them back.
