The engagement party 2

1803 Words
Mateo walked out of his room to supervise the decoration. He had a call from the security at the gate informing him that the decorators had arrived and started to decorate. “Such nonsense; I would be sleeping by now; Noah has just spoilt my weekend with his foolishness,” Mateo grumbled as he walked out of his room, stepping into the mess and making a bigger mess intentionally. Clara didn't lift her head or say a word; her head and body were bent down, still cleaning and crying. When Noah arrived, the place had been decorated beautifully. Mateo made sure everything was done to perfection; he supervised the whole process and left the poolside to go check on the cook to see what foods she had made. Mateo wasn’t in support of what Noah was about to do, but he loved Noah and was ready to support anything to make him happy. Noah was happy and excited; he loved the decorations and couldn't leave the poolside, so Mateo left him to think and take in everything, while he checked on the cook and went to Jael’s room to check on her health and inform her about Noah’s engagement because Jael is like a mother to both Mateo and Noah. Jael was there for Noah when he lost his parents; he needed distractions and time to heal, so he came to stay with Mateo, and Noah always came to stay with Mateo whenever he had problems. Before he met Ella, he loved the idea of having a family around him in his crisis. Mateo wanted Jael to be there; he knew it would make Noah happy to see Jael supporting him. Mateo went to his room, took his phone, and called Ella. “Hey, Ella,” Mateo said. “Hey, Mateo, to what do I owe this pleasure? Mateo King himself, the heir to King’s empire, calling me?” Ella laughed. “I did not call you for jokes; I'd like to invite you to a private pool party I'm hosting at my house. Don't worry, it is safe. Noah is not coming; he's busy with a contract. I'm sending you the location now; it'll be starting at 1 p.m. an hour from now. It'll be nice if you start coming now." Mateo said softly, "Okay, baby, I'm always available for you. I'm on my way. I trust you.” Mateo hung up and called the gate to inform them about Ella’s coming. Ella had never visited Mateo’s house. Noah wanted to bring her many times, but Mateo refused and demanded that his house location be kept a secret. Ella kept asking Noah but slowed down because she did not want Noah to suspect her of anything. An hour later, Ella arrived. When she arrived, everything was set and everyone was present. Mateo waited at the gate to escort Ella to the poolside. Ella came down from her car and greeted Mateo, then Mateo smiled and held Ella’s hands, leading her to the poolside. “Finally! He is giving in; I knew he was just playing hard to get. I'm a beautiful woman, and every man wants to have a taste of me; just have one s*x with him, and he'll be begging for it.” Ella smiled. “I just hope she doesn't get the wrong ideas; I'm only doing this for Noah; if not, I would not be holding hands with this w***e. I hope Noah is not making a mistake that would ruin him.” Mateo Smirked. Ella could hear the loud sound of music from afar, and she saw people standing by the poolside, but she couldn't find Noah, so she believed Mateo and kept walking with him holding hands. They got to the pool at 6 a.m. the next morning! Ring! Ring! Mateo’s phone kept ringing until he woke up and picked up the call. It was Noah calling, “Noah, what's the problem? It’s Saturday, and I can’t even rest." Mateo hissed at Noah on the phone. “Guy, I’m sorry, but I’m too excited, and I have to share my excitement with you." Noah explained, "Oh, okay, I’m listening. Did you win the contract you were working on?” Mateo asked, “No! This is more than a contract." Noah giggled. “What is more than a contract? I hope it is something serious because I’ll be very upset if you disturb my sleep because of something irrelevant." Mateo continued, “Well, it’s relevant because I’m proposing to the love of my life today." Noah answered, “Oh no! I just hope you did not just wake me up because of your stupid love ideas. Has she spoken to you?” Mateo groaned, “Yes, she organised a romantic evening at The Sky Hotel in room 105 yesterday night; it was a surprise, which is why she had an attitude all day.” Noah explained excitedly, “What! Women and their manipulation; they’ve just gotten my best friend." Mateo thought, “Hello! Hello! Mateo! Are you there?” Noah asked, “Yes, yes, yes, I’m here. Good for you, my friend. Good for you." Mateo stuttered, "Yes, oh, guy, I’m so excited, and I’ll be proposing to her today; this is the best day. It’s now or never, but I’ll need a favour from you, brother." Noah said, “What is it, man?” Mateo asked, “Since it is a surprise, I want to do it at your house, by the poolside, then you’ll call her to come to your house. I don’t know what you’ll say, but you’ll have to find a way to get her to your house on time for the proposal. I’ll send the decorator to your house; I just needed to inform you first and get a confirmation from you.” Mateo expounded, “What! My house? Anyway, because this brings you so much joy, I’ll do it for you. Send the decorator over; I’ll inform my security, workers, and cook to prepare for the engagement. I guess no rest for me today.” Mateo replied and hung up without listening to what Noah was saying next. “Jael! Jael!” Mateo called it "Yes, Master Mateo." Clara answered as she ran into Mateo’s room, “Are you Jael? And what are you doing in my room?” Mateo asked, “Master Mateo, Jael is feeling sick, so she asked me to stand by your door and wait for your call.” Clara answered. Jael had woken Clara up very early and explained to her that she had to wake up very early, have her bath, dress neatly, put on some perfume, and wait by Mateo’s door for his call every day. Clara was only supposed to leave the door when Mateo leaves home or goes to bed at night, and she should be alert to know when he returns to go back to her position. “At least you’re clean and smell good, unlike yesterday night. Tell the security that some decorators will be coming to decorate the poolside; he should allow them in to do their job. Also, instruct some other servants to clean the poolside thoroughly before they get here, and ensure to tell them it’s a direct order from me. I’m putting you in charge; if anything goes wrong, you’ll get it from me. You can go,” Mateo instructed. "Okay, sir,” Clara answered. “I almost forgot. Tell the cook to make varieties of food today; there’ll be a programme by the poolside; tell her I need her to give it to her A game; all my friends and some powerful people will be there; and don’t forget to bring my breakfast. After doing all these, I’ll have had my bath before you return.” Mateo concluded. “Where would I start in this big house? I don’t know anyone else except the cook and Jael, but I’ll have to do my best to be in the good books of Master Mateo,” Clara thought as she went out of Mateo’s room. Clara went straight to the cook because she didn’t want to disturb the old Jael. Clara made her way to the kitchen, informed her about Master Mateo’s instructions, and asked her for directions on how to go about the instructions given to her by Mateo. The cook gave Clara directions; she followed the directions, did everything she was asked to do, came back to the kitchen, collected Mateo’s food, and went back to his room to serve him. “Knock!” Clara banged on Mateo’s bedroom door, “Come in." Mateo answered that he knew it was Clara because no other person would dare bang on his door. He had a doorbell, but Clara wouldn’t know; after all, it was her first day at work. “Clara! Didn’t Jael tell you I hate it when someone bangs on my door? Didn’t she show you the doorbell? Mateo asked, "No, master, I’m sorry. I’ve learned that now; it would never happen again.” Clara apologised, "Oh, Clara! You’ve only worked here for a day, and you’ve apologised more than three times already. Get your facts right, learn, and stop saying sorry for everything. You can go now.” Clara walked out of the room. “Wow! He’s not that bad; at least he’s starting to come around.” Clara thought, “Clara! Clara! Where is this incompetent fool?" Mateo screamed, "Yes, Master Mateo." Clara ran back into his room. “What is this rubbish you served me?” Mateo asked as he threw the food at Clara’s face. “Clean this mess up and get me my correct meal. Haven’t you learned anything? You’re just a waste of my time.” Mateo groaned. “Clara ran down to the store, took a broom, and used a mop to clean up the mess Mateo made when he threw the food at her. She went back to Mateo’s room and cleaned it with tears falling from her eyes. “Just when I thought he had started to come around,” Clara thought. Mateo walked out of his room to supervise the decoration, as he had a call from the security at the gate informing him the decorators had arrived and started to decorate. “Such nonsense; I would be sleeping by now; Noah has just spoilt my weekend with his foolishness,” Mateo grumbled as he walked out of his room, stepping into the mess and making a bigger mess intentionally. Minutes later, when Noah arrived, the place had been beautifully decorated. Mateo made sure everything was done to perfection; he supervised the whole process and left the poolside to go check on the cook to see what foods she had made when Noah arrived.
