Mateo wasn’t in support of what Noah was about to do, but he loved Noah and was ready to support anything to make him happy.
Noah was happy and excited; he loved the decorations and couldn't leave the poolside. Mateo left Noah to take in everything, checked on the cook, and went to Jael’s room to check on her and inform her about Noah’s engagement because Jael was like a mother to both Mateo and Noah. Jael was there for Noah when he lost his parents; he needed distractions and time to heal, so he came to stay with Mateo. Mateo wanted Jael to be there; he knew it would make Noah happy to see Jael supporting him. Mateo went to his room, took his phone, and called Ella. “Hey, Ella,” Mateo said. “Hey, Mateo, to what do I owe this pleasure? Mateo King himself, the heir to King’s empire, calling me?” Ella laughed. “I did not call you for jokes; I'd like to invite you to a private pool party I'm hosting at my house. Don't worry; it is safe. Noah is not coming; he's busy with a contract. I'm sending you the location now; please start now; it'll be starting at 1 p.m. an hour from now.” Mateo said hastily, "Okay, baby, I'm always available for you. I'm on my way. I trust you.”
Mateo hung up and called the gate to inform them about Ella’s coming. Ella had never visited Mateo’s house. Noah wanted to bring her many times, but Mateo refused and demanded that his location be kept from Ella. Ella pushed, but she did not want Noah to suspect her of anything, so she gave up.
An hour later, Ella arrived. When she arrived, everything was set and everyone was present. Mateo waited at the gate to escort Ella to the poolside. Ella came down to her car; she was so beautiful. She wore a red short dress, black heels, a black purse, and let her long hair down. Ella walked to Mateo and greeted him, then Mateo smiled, took Ella’s hand, kissed them, and held her hand as he led her to the poolside. “Finally! I got him; I knew he was only acting hard to get. I am a beautiful woman that every man would love to have a taste of. One s*x, and he'll be all over me.” Ella smiled. “I hope she's not getting the wrong ideas; I'm only doing this because of Noah. I can never kiss or hold the hands of this w***e. I just hope Noah is not making a mistake that would ruin him. Ella was scared and hoped this was not a trick to expose her to Noah, so she stopped and pretended to look for something in her purse when she heard the music and saw a lot of people by the poolside. She looked for Noah, but she couldn't find him, so she trusted Mateo and kept walking. They got to the poolside, and Mateo told Ella to excuse him while he asked Jael to distract Ella, so he informed Noah that Ella had arrived. Jael agreed and walked over to Ella. “What a beautiful woman you are,” Jael said to Ella. Ella turned and asked, “Are you talking to me, old servant?” Jael was putting on her uniform as always. "Yes, dear, I'm talking to you. I'm in awe of your beauty. I'm sure your mom would be as beautiful as you are.” Jael smiled and ignored her rude behaviour. “Oh yes, she's very beautiful, and she’s not a servant like you.” Ella winked, flung her hair back, and intentionally dropped her purse so she could put Jael in her place. “Pick it up, Servant!” Ella continued Jael smiled and bent down to pick up the purse, then she noticed a burn mark on Ella’s lower leg. “This mark looked familiar.” Jael forgot about the purse and was distracted by the burn mark. Jael’s first daughter, Jaella, whom she hadn't seen for years, had the same mark. Jael mistakenly burned her lower leg with boiled water when she was a baby. She couldn't control herself. “Could it be that this is my daughter?” she thought as she stretched her hands and touched the mark. “What nonsense is this? Stop touching me with those filthy and strong hands of yours; do you want to ruin my skin? Just get me my purse, old woman." Ella snapped. Jael jumped up and said, “Jaella! Is this you?” “old witch! How did you know my full name? Everyone around here knows me as Ella except for my rich family, who died in a fire accident years ago.” "Jaella, is this you? Are you going to pretend you don't remember me? Your mother?” Tears ran down Jael’s face as she tried to hug Ella. “What mother?" Do I look like a daughter to a wretched woman like you? Please stop embarrassing me in public!” Ella pushed Jael. Jael was a single mother with two kids; Jaella was the eldest. Jaella was just 2 years old when Jael got a job as Mateo’s nanny; it was the best job she had gotten in a while, and no one wanted to give her a job because she was pregnant, so she left Ella, whose real name was Jaella, with her aunt because her father had left when he found out Jael was pregnant again. They were poor, so he thought children were a burden. Jael sends her salary every month to her sister for her child. Ella was young, but she had always wanted to be rich or marry a rich man, and she could not appreciate what her mother could afford, so on her 16th birthday, she asked for an expensive dress, but her mother visited her and gifted her something else because she could not afford to get her the dress she wanted. Ella threw the gift at her mother’s face and ran off. Jael waited and searched for days, but she couldn't find Ella, so she returned to her job, broken. She kept asking her sister, but the news was the same: Ella did not return, and she was nowhere to be found. “What! Jael, Ella is the daughter you've always talked about and have always told me and Noah stories about. What a small world.” Mateo was shocked. “Enough! Mateo, What nonsense? Are you not listening to me at all? Didn't I just say she's not my mother? My parents were rich; I lost them and everything in the fire accident where I got this burn. This wretched thing, my mother? Never!” Ella Screamed.
Mateo had gotten Noah, and he was standing behind Ella, ready to propose. When he heard the conversation between Jael and Ella, he became very angry. “Ella! I can't stand here and watch you insult Jael. What did she do wrong? She's an old woman; she may be making a mistake, but that does not give you the right to insult her,” Noah said. Ella was shocked; she trusted Mateo and believed Noah was not there. “ Noah? Mateo! I thought you said he wasn't here." Ella asked, “Of course he's here, and this is your engagement party. I only called you because he wanted me to." Mateo replied, "Awwww, baby, thank you. Let's get back to the proposal, please. Let's not allow this bad luck of a woman to spoil our occasion." Ella winked at Noah, “No! I need time. After hearing all you had to say to Jael, I don't think I know you. I'm not sure you're the woman I fell in love with anymore.” Noah explained, “Oh Mother, you've entered my life again with your bad luck. Ever since I left you, everything has been going well. I even made an imaginary family, and everyone believed my story. Today, after many years, we meet again, and this is happening.” Ella groaned, “What! Ella, you're evil, so you knew she was your mother, but you kept denying and saying mean things to her?” Mateo asked. Noah broke down when he heard what Ella said; his eyes became red, tears ran down his face, and rage took over him. He held Ella tightly, shaking her. “Tell me what you've just said is a lie. Tell me you have not been lying to me all these years. Tell me I have not been in love with a lie.” "Stop, Noah; you're hurting me." Ella cried out, "Well, you hurt me more; this pain you feel now is not half of what you've done to me, Ella." Noah screamed, “Stop! Man, you're better than this. Don't let her get to you; you're a good man, not a monster.” Mateo stopped Noah from hurting Ella. Noah pushed Ella into the pool, went into his car, and ran off. Mateo ran after Noah, and Clara stopped him. “Master Mateo, please let him be. He’ll be fine,” Clara said. Clara had only seen Noah for the first time, but she always believed that when a person is angry, they only need time alone to think. “This stupid servant girl! What do you know?” Mateo pushed Clara to the floor, got in his car, and drove after Noah. Jael’s face faded, her face turned pale, and she quietly sat down on the floor, tears running down her cheeks, when she heard what Ella said. She could not get her eyes off Ella. Ella came out of the pool, ran to her car, and drove off.
