Ella watched what happened between Clara, her ex-fiance, and Mateo on the balcony. After the twins left to see Mateo’s reaction, she wanted to know what was happening, so she followed them since she could not see a thing because she made sure they couldn’t see her, so she wanted to go to the balcony on the roof to see what was happening and what the twins were so happy about.
Ella was so angry after she saw how Mateo reacted to everything that happened. She could not hear everything they were saying, but she noticed Mateo was by Clara’s side. “This witch of a girl called Clara, how does she get Mateo to support her every time?” Ella hissed. “Okay, I’m here now! We would see.” Ella went back to her room.
Clara was happy when she came back into the house, but she was also very confused. She knew Mateo had a good heart from what Jael told her and what she saw when Jael was sick, but she never imagined him standing up for her in such a manner, so she decided to prepare Mateo’s meal as a way of appreciating him when he comes back from work. Clara asked the cook for Mateo’s menu and began to prepare the food for Mateo. She was happy and had forgotten all about Jael. She stayed in the kitchen because she didn’t want the food to get burned. “Clara! Clara!” Ella called, “Yes! Yes! I’m in the kitchen,” Clara answered. Ella came to the kitchen and asked, “What are you doing here? My mother has been asking for you. She wants to see you." “I have been cooking for Master Mateo. When I’m done, I’ll make sure to come see her.” Clara smiled. “Did Mateo ask you to cook for him? Is this not the cook’s responsibility?” Ella continued, "No, he did not ask me to cook for him, and yes, it is the cook’s responsibility, but I wanted to show him appreciation for something he did for me, so I begged the cook to let me prepare his meal today.” Clara answered, "Oh, okay, that’s nice of you; such a grateful soul.” Ella smirked. “This girl is up to something; maybe she wants to put something in this food. I’ll make sure Mateo doesn’t eat this rubbish she is cooking. I’m sure she wants to poison my love, Mateo.” Ella thought as she walked out of the kitchen.
Mateo sat in the chair in his office, smiling to himself and lost in thought. He could not get Clara off his mind, and he was very happy because of how he stood for her earlier today. “What’s happening to me? Am I falling for my servant?” He wondered, “This should not be happening; why am I having these thoughts about her?” He continued to wonder to himself, then he felt a tap on his shoulder. “Guy! Why are you smiling at yourself? Is there any good news?” Noah asked, “No! I’m just feeling sick." Mateo jumped up. “Maybe this would be a good excuse to see Clara. What’s happening to me?” Mateo thought, “Guy, go home and get some rest. I’ll finish up here, and I’ll update you when I get home.” Noah said, “I don’t think leaving all this work for you would be good.” Mateo replied, “I insist. Just go get some rest. I’ll handle everything, and I’ll be fine.” Noah smiled. Mateo got up, took his bag, walked to the car pack, went into his car, and drove off. He was very happy, but he couldn’t understand what was happening to him because this was unusual. He was missing Clara and wanted to just see her; he wanted her in his arms, but he wasn’t sure if that was possible because he wasn’t sure if Clara felt the same for him.
Mateo got home and called, “Clara! Clara!” "Yes, Master Mateo,” Clara came running. “Please take my bag to my room and get me my food; I want to check on Jael.” Mateo said
“Master Mateo, is everything okay? I mean, you are back at this time? Isn’t it too early?” Clara asked, “Am I supposed to have a fixed time to come to my own home?” Mateo asked, "No, sir, don’t get me wrong. I’ll take your bag inside and serve you.” Clara took the bag inside and went to the kitchen to serve Mateo’s meal, while Mateo went to Jael’s room to check on her. “Mateo, why are you back so early? Is everything okay?” Ella asked Mateo; she was coming from her mom’s room when she saw Mateo going in that direction. “Why is everyone asking me questions about coming home early? I don’t understand; am I supposed to have a fixed time to come home?” Mateo smirked, "No, Mateo, it is not like that. I'm very happy you're home, and in fact, I have something to tell you.” Ella said, "Well, tell me fast. I want to check on Jael, go to my room, have a bath, eat, and rest.” Mateo replied, "Well, it's about Clara. I saw her cooking, and she said the food is for you. I told her you only prefer the cook’s food, but she was saying something about appreciating you, and I do not trust her. My instinct is telling me she has a motive for cooking that food, so I said I should warn you not to eat that food." Ella explained, “Is that all? Can I go see Jael now?” Mateo asked, “Is that all you would say?” Ella asked. Mateo walked off. “This Clara girl has really gotten Mateo; I would have to act fast.” Ella hissed and went her way.
After checking on Jael, Mateo went to his room, and Clara had already served his meal. He went to the bathroom, had a bath, and sat down to eat the food. He was curious to know how Clara’s cooking tasted; he tasted it and said, “Wow, she can cook excellently too? I think I prefer their cooking to what I have been eating all my life.” Mateo said, “Clara! Clara! Clara!” Mateo called, "Yes, Mater Mateo." Clara came into Mateo’s room running as she jammed the door behind her. “What is this? Where did you get this food from? Did the cook make this?” Mateo asked with a tensed face, “Sir, is there any problem with the food?” Clara asked, “I am asking you a question, and you're answering with a question? Clara! Answer me.” Mateo shouted, “Master Mateo, I made it for you as an expression of appreciation for standing for me this morning.” Clara stuttered out of fear. “You made this?” Mateo asked, "Yes, sir, I made it. I am sorry if there's a problem with it; I just wanted to appreciate you.” Clara answered, “Don’t be sorry, this food is so good. From now on, Clara, you will be making my meals; tell the cook it is an order from me.” Mateo said, "Okay, sir, thank you. I am glad you are enjoying it.” Clara smiled. “Can I go now?” Clara asked, "Yes, you can go," and Mateo answered. Clara turned her back to go outside Mateo’s room, then Mateo stood up, ran to Clara, held her hands, turned her around, and kissed her, holding her tightly around her waist. Clara was shocked and couldn't believe it, but she kissed him back. Then she realised herself, pulled back, and wanted to run out of Mateo’s room. Mateo held her, held her closer, and whispered into her ears, “I love you and I want you.” Then he kissed her and carried her to his bed. “I am crazy over you, Clara. I cannot seem to get you out of my head. My body craves for you every single moment, and I can't help but hope you feel the same way too,” Mateo whispered as he touched her softly and intimately. Clara wasn't thinking; she couldn't say a word; she just laid there watching Mateo and hoping he did not stop. “Am I making a mistake? What if she doesn't want this? I have allowed my emotions to carry me away.” Mateo thought as he tried to pull away. Clara held him tightly, kissed him, and started to undress him. Mateo heard foot steps coming up the stairs. “Someone is coming to my room. I think Noah is back. I can hear the foot steps. We would continue later.” Mateo whispered to Clara, got up, and got dressed quickly while Clara made the bed. Clara then walked out of Mateo’s room, smiling. “Clara, what is the good news? You are glowing.” Noah said as he passed Clara by the door to Mateo’s room, “There is no good news, sir. How was work? I'll go get you your food now.” Clara ran off, hoping Noah noticed nothing.
