Dylan's P.O.V
The threats never stopped. Today we have a letter sitting on my desk, threatening me and my Clan. To top it all, the letter was written with blood, to my extreme discomfort.
I don't bother about the threats. However, I can not say the same for my brother and my best friend. They are super worried. My car was put on fire last week by some anonymous people and we don't have any evidence to catch the culprit. Since then, I couldn't make them shut up about my security. Especially my brother Anton.
His paranoia got the best out of him, I couldn't handle him anymore.
'What will I do, if they attacked you when you were alone' 'what would have happened if you were still there in the car the other day' were all his questions and I couldn't come up with anything to simmer his worries.
My best friend Micah is siding with him. Indeed, a dangerous combination. They decided to hire a bodyguard for me. They did the short listing part. A guy fought with Forty vampire from my Clan. It's quite impressive, and I didn't expect any thing less when Anton and Micah is involved.
Today is the final interview. Anton insisted that I should make the final call and here we are.
"In another five minutes your body guard will be here"
"I thought the final call, would be mine"
"yeah sure" my brother rolled his eyes.
"but if you said no, you have to give me valid reasons"
"Fair enough"
"Hey guys, what's up" here comes my best friend.
"Nothing much. Dylan is planning on how to reject the bodyguard we chose"
"Why do we need a bodyguard here. Don't you think I can protect myself. I am a Head Vampire for nothing"
"We already discussed this brother"
"Trust me Dylan, The guy is perfect." Micah added
"That's why I told him he could not reject the guy without giving us a valid reason" my brother added
"Man, I'm telling you can't reject him. He is too good for the job"
"Oh, we will find it soon, won't we."
We heard a knock and Micah's secretary came in.
"Sir, Mr.Scott De Crystal is here for his interview" he announced.
"Oh send him in. We are waiting"
"Sure Sir, right away "
We heard a knock again.
"Come in" Micah said
I looked at the door. There walked in an handsome man, wearing light blue buttoned down shirt tuced in khaki pants, his sleeves folded to elbow showcasing a tattoo starting from his wrist. I took in his appearance and our eyes met, he has got beautiful hazel brown eyes. His eyes widened a second, or it may bemy imagination, I couldn't understand. I'm frozen at my place. He caught me staring, but I couldn't look away. My heart beats shooting high. My fangs hitching to come out.
'Goddess what is he..'
"Hi take a seat" my brother's voice pulled me out of the trance.
I looked at the beautiful creature walking towards my desk. He smiled at my brother and there appeared the cute dimple in his square shaped face. My breath hitched in my throat.
"Moon Goddess" I gasped
The three pair eyes in the room turned towards me.
's**t I said it out loud. God I need to breath.'
I got up from my chair and cleared my throat.
" Excuse me, I will be back in minute"
"Dylan?" my brother called me
"Anto, I will be back. Just give me minute".
The moment I came out of my room I released the breath I was holding.
'Damn..Moon Goddess what was that. Ok.. he is handsome. But never in my life I have reacted to any one like this'
"Man, what was that" Micah followed me
"I know you don't like to have a bodyguard. But that's rude"
's**t they think I walked out because of him. I hope he didn't think that way.'
"No. It is not what you think. Let's go back"
I took deep breath and entered my room again.
