THE LOVE IN ME

Chapter two

Eve POV

I am Eve Nelson,the only girl who doesn’t believe in relationship not to mention falling in love,the word love brings nothing but pain and hatred for it,I can’t imagine myself loving someone,it my biggest fear and my worst nightmare.i can’t bring myself low for the word love to toy with.

My mom have lived her life rejected by the love of her life,she has gone through so much pain all for just one word LOVE,they say if you really love someone then you let them go and that was what she did,she ran as far as she could and hide from love,so how do you expect me to love when she didn’t even get her own love,deep down I fear that I might have the same fate of being rejected by love,so for that fear of rejection I blocked every means of falling in love,I turned everything into rudeness,I made the habit of speaking rudely with any guy that makes advances.

And here I have a friend who is a total opposite of me she is my bed friend Ella Adams,she is a lover girl, season she is always seen with different boys,I mean boyfriends,sometimes people always wonder how we become friends in the first place,and if you ask me?i don’t really either and I don’t even think about it we’re always happy in each other company to the extent that people started saying that am a lesbian,guess what?i didn’t give a damn so long they have something to say about me,and am not dead.

And as for my mom we have been leaving together with my maternal grandmother,my mom is a fashion model even though she is not that popular,at least she was working and that’s what matters to her,I didn’t come from a rich family nor poor we’re in the middle class family group.

Mike POV

Seriously! did she just insult me upon my offer,she is must be cray does she have any idea how any other girl would seize that opportunity to throw themselves at me,and she just threatened to insult me if I say any further,who the hell does she thinks she is anyway.

Any way I won’t blame her,something about her just caught my attention and that’s her beauty,damn she must be a beauty without manners,a perfect body to literally die for,average height,long hair black hair,thin waist perfect hips with a well shaped V-face and a thin straight nose,tell me who won’t fall for such beauty and the way she walks Gosh! she is an elegant woman.but that attitude of hers is not to be dealt with.

And the say she proved herself to be mannerless was the day I went to her hostel,after telling her my real for coming she didn’t even spare me chance to say anything else,all she did was the total opposite of what I expected,I thought she was angry on that last meeting but she cleared my doubts,she was rude absolutely rude and that attitude was to bad for a beauty like her.

Eve was at the boutique with Ella shopping and also using the opportunity to see some designs as they were moving the store.Mike and his friend also came to the same boutique,Eve was walking through the row when she saw Jack looking at Ella in was that didn’t go down well with Eve

“Hey mister,you have to pay for that looks that you’re stealing”Eve said seriously and John took it for a joke

“Yeah just help me tell her that I like her,and wants to spend the night with her”Jack said

“Really you think that am joking? I will poke my hands into your eyes,and make sure that you can’t even see you future wife with those eyes”Eve threatens,at this point it dawn on jack that she wasn’t joking

“Hey I was only joking,and besides what do you mean by I won’t be able to see my future wife”he asked angrily,just then Ella and Mike moved closer as they heard both their friends rising their voice

“Babe what happened?”Ella asked pulling Eve aside,So Mike wasn’t able to see who jack was talking to

“What’s up dude?why are you rising your voice”Mike asked as he looked around for who jack was talking to

“Can you imagine,a girl have the gots to say that she will poke my eyes so I won’t be able to see my future wife,i mean who says such things to a fellow being?”jack asked in disgust

“what did you say they made her respond like that”Mike asked confused,after jack explained in detail Mike was also angry

“What is wrong with girls these days,they don’t even think before they spit out the venom in their mouth”Mike said

“You know what let’s leave here”jack said and went away.at the other side Ella was scolding Eve

“Why do you keep insulting everyone,and think of the words you even said to him...I Know he wasn’t doing any good by ogling at me but you still shouldn’t have said such words at him,you don’t even know who he is....I just pray you don’t run into someone who’s dangerous,cause you won’t be able to free self”Ella said and Eva walked away

“Yes that’s it,you always walk away,Yes am done shopping we can leave now”Ella shouted throwing her hands in the air.

As they reached out side the building Ella was still taking behind Eve when jack spotted them he drew Mike closer

“You see that girl blabbing that’s the girl I was joking and that other girl standing close to her was the b***h that insulted me”jack informed,Mike was trying to see who the other girl was when jack drag him along and stood in front of the two girls,Ella quietly shut her mouth as the boys were not smiling at them,Eve suddenly notice her silence

“What are you done shouting,did you think that I was going to you to say a word,go a hard keep talking”Eve blunt out,Ella kept smiling and giving signals for Eve to look at her back,Eve was irritated and turned around only to see two boys who looked familiar she paid her attention on Mike who was not blinking either,they kept the eye contact for some seconds before jack interrupt them

“Hey I came to talk to you not him”jack said angrily,and Eve shift her gaze towards him

“About What exactly?”she asked innocently

“About that nonsense you said earlier”jack replied roughly

“Oh I didn’t know we’ve already meant,cause if we did then this conversation you’re trying to build won’t be taking place”Eve replied coldly

“Seriously do you still have to claim right,if you don’t control that refuse dump you call mouth,then I will teach you how to control them”jack warned

“Wow So......”

“Don’t listen to her please,come let’s go”Ella interrupted and took Eve by the hand,Eve was angry and took Ella’s hands off her’s

“When next am talking,you don’t interrupt better still you can leave,and as for you mister,you call my mouth a refuse dump and you fail to realize the refuse dump don’t get control its always open,so how do you expect me to close it?”she asked irritated with his look

“I see you are running out of nut,you better go get your self treated before it gets worse”jack said

“Are you always like this?”Mike finally speaks out in surprise,Eve gave him the have we meant before look

“Oh I see I already have a fan,so tell me what do you know about me” Eve asked like celebrity who was asking her fan some questions

“Don’t be silly,why do you keep insulting everyone that crosses your path?”Mike ask angrily

“Am sorry for not doing what I should have done a long time ago,and that is not giving you the right treatment,because if I had then you won’t even want to see again in your life”Eve said seriously

“Wow I see you have guts,any way I don’t blame you,I blame the reason why you’re acting like this,and don’t even for once think that this attitude suites you cause it doesn’t”Mike said with utter disappointment

“Well for the first time in my life,You’re the first person who at least uses his senses why speaking,you don’t really have to blame me,the whole fault goes to the source”Eve said nodding her head in agreement,and walked away leaving Ella who was speechless,Eve stop a taxi and got inside without looking back,as the cab was now out of sight Ella then looked at Mike who was also looking at her

“You did great,you finally hurt her where it pain the most,I accept she speaks rudely but..insulting her reason is not right”Ella said sadly

“So you would have watched her insult us again”Jack asked in awe

“She has said enough already so,I said what ever can’t to my head,and if I hadn’t she would insult me more than one she did the other day”Mike defend

“Oh so you know her before?”jack ask in confusion.Ella walked passed them and stopped a cab

“So are you going to say anything or not?”jack asked

“No am not,it’s not a big deal”Mike said and gets into the car.

Eve was angry because of what Mike said “who does he think he is anyway,when next meet I will tell him that,I don’t joke around with my past,was he trying to insult me that my own game......”she kept on talking to herself until Ella returned,Eve kept quiet and pretend to be asleep not wanting to start conversation with her.
