THE LOVE IN ME

Chapter three

Mike POV

“ what does she think of her self a goddess or what, she even insulted me and shot the door at my face, I mean who does that to a guy like me , mike of all people”mike said in anger,as he narrates what happened since he returned from Australia to his best friend John who just came back few days ago

“ come on dude she don’t know who you are, I mean no girl would do that if she really knows who you are. So get over it” John advised

“ I will surely pay her in her own coin” mike said and drank his wine in one gulp

Mike was the only child and son of mr and mrs Wilson smart, he was a spoilt brat of a rich big daddy, who gets what he want at anytime.He is also studying fashion and design in school, though he studied abroad. Once he is through with his he will be the next C.E.O of W&S fashion world. His friend John was also from a rich family, they have been friends since childhood and went to the same school abroad

Ever since he meant Eve out side their house he was interested in her, he tried to give her a ride but she declined. A girl has never turned him down except her, he was keen to know more about her.

But ever since the day at the boutique they never crossed each other’s path.Mike felt pain in his heart but don’t know why,the moment he said those words out at the boutique he saw her expression changed into pain and Agony,he kept wondering why her sudden change and she sincerely admitted that his words were true.All these thoughts kept running in Mike’s heart he has never felt this way for any girl why was she so different and difficult to understand,she is unpredictable.after few more thoughts he gave up with conclusion that he must know who this girl is.

After two months,eve results were out and she came out in frying colour she was so happy, Ella also made it both families celebrated the girls. After three days Ella traveled to meet her brother who has already kept a job for her, both girls promised to call each other every time.

Eve POV

The next week i want for the interview that Mrs smart has asked me to go , when she reached the address and came highlighted from the cab i was shocked “ how can I get a job from this place , I mean of all places it has to be W&S fashion world,one of the best fashion producing company in the world ,no way!” I said to her self I walked through the doors, it was in deed a magnificent building,a young girl of about my age walked toward me and ushered me to follow her. We walk passed the newly designed clothes that were ready to be lunched, I Marvel the clothes they were of good quality, I wished I had one of them but too bad I can’t afford them. So I followed her quietly until we came to a stop in front of a door and she asked me to go inside and she left, now it was time for me to prove myself that I am worthy of my results, I knocked before opening the door and went inside only to meet two men staring at me,one was young and the other a little advanced,I swallowed the my fears and walked towards them

“ good day sir’s” I greeted

They just nodded their heads and ask me to sit,I sat at the sit opposite them they asked me few questions about me and I why I studied fashion I gave them my reasons and the young man was busy taking some notes. After what seems like forever they told me to go, that they would get back to me.

I was at home after two days when I received a call telling me that they have accepted me so I can start working from tomorrow I was so excited that u danced round the house, my mom and grandma was also happy and did some prayers for me. I called Ella and told her about it she very happy “ so finally I will not be the only one working” she said

“Yes o I now have a job, not just any job but at W&S fashion world” said in joy

“Please when you start earning some money don’t forget about me”Ella said

“ how can I, that would be the lady thing on my list”i said, after some chat I quickly rushed to my wardrobe and pulled out a yellow dress one of my own designs,and a pair of flat pink shoes with a matching jacket and bag. I wasn’t able to sleep way that night, I was restless, tossing from one side of the bed to another, until I finally slept off.

I woke up early,did my house duty and got ready to leave when my mom came and gave me my lunch bag

“ it’s not like I am going to school Mum”

“ I know but I see some workers carrying it, so just take it for me please” she begged

“ ok I will , and take care of yourself and grandma” I said and left the house and took a cab to the office, I reached at exactly 7:30 am,then the young man who interviewed me,came and showed me round the company, he introduced me to the rest staffs and showed me my table, I was to be working as a designer, and then he introduced himself to me as John wills the MD if the company and personal adviser to the CEO, I was told what to do and he left.

i sat on my chair and closed my eyes when someone tapped me at my hand, I quickly opened my eyes just to see two young girls of my age grinning like a child in front of me

“ I am Cindy and this is carol ” she as they stretch their hands towards me, I couldn’t do anything instead admired them Cindy was tall and thin while carol was same hight with me and chubby but they were both beautiful “hello is somebody here”caro said, just then I was back to normal, “ so sorry, forgive my mannals I am Eve Nelson” I said shaking hands with them

“ do you care for a friend ?” Cindy ask

I was sure these are the gossipers in this company “ off course I do”I replied

“ ok then we will talk at lunch, our desks is next to yours” Cindy said

“ oh yes and we will tell you any thing that you need to know about this company at lunch”added carol

Yea I was right they are mouth and ears of this company, I gave them a nod as they walked away. I didn’t have any thing much to do, I was later told that the MD wanted to see me, so got up put my clothes in order and walked head high , as I reached the office his secretary told me to go in,I took a deep breath and opened the door, their was nobody at the desk, So i looked around and was shocked by what I saw, I never thought I would see him again at least not I my first day of work “ good day sir” he didn’t reply as if u care but,this was an office and the MD can just wake in“ good day sir”this time making it louder for him to hear,he just nod his head.soon John entered

“ ha you are here already,1I just wanted to introduce you to .....”

“ I am his friend a good one” mike interrupted

I sensed that something was wrong but couldn’t figure it out

“ ha yes he is a good friend, you can leave now I will call you later sorry for the inconveniences” John said uncertain, I gave a quick glare to God knows what is his name is and walked out.

“What was that for” John asked Mike as soon as she left

“guess God really wanted her to have a taste of what she did to me, that is why he sent her here” Mike said as he strolled to the table and took a file

“ wait wait, so that is the girl that insulted you,wow what nerves she got” John teased

“ what, I am going to make her days here as hot as hell” Mike said

“ really,too bad she is already hot as hell, damn she has a perfect body” John remarks and all mike could do was to agree

“She is really hot, but that doesn’t save her, i will surely give her a taste”

“ and she talks sweetly” John said still admiring her

“ yea,not until she spit her venom”Mike replied and left in anger while John was left laughing.

When i reached,I quickly called Ella and told her what happened,at the office “ i also ment that guy that I insulted at school,he claims that he is a good friend to my MD” she informed

“ what!!maybe he is also looking for a job or came to see his friend like you said” Ella consoled

“ I pray so,I just don’t want him around me” Eve said. After talking for some time they bid each other good night

The next day,Eve want to work she was a little busy than yesterday putting some things together here and there,soon it was time for lunch she and the other girls went out to a nearby restaurant to get some food they saw Mrs smart, she greeted them warmly and called Eve and asked her to come see her in the evening as she have something to give her. There was a knock at the door of Mrs smart, a servant went to open the door and allow Eve to enter he offered her a seat and went inside, when Eve was looking around her found Mike looking at her

Eve POV

“Ha! Goodness me what an eye he has”she told her self

“Good day” I managed to greet

“ good day too” he replied lowering his gaze,just then Mrs smart walked in,I greeted her she sat close to me, all the while we talked he was just looking at me, and I pretended not to notice him, we talked about some designs that she wanted me to do for her friend’s birthday party, after we reached the agreement of what to use she excused her self and went inside. So i continue looking at the magazines,to see if I would get any thing from it,when a voice distracted me

“ sorry I didn’t hear you” i said innocently

“ how will you?anyway I said, you can really pretend no to know someone” he repeated calmly. I wasn’t going to be quite , would I? I asked myself, off curse not. thought

“ and how am I ignoring or should I say pretend not to notice someone?,didn’t I greet you when i entered”I asked

“Really,don’t tell me you that you don’t know what I am talking about” his voice going cold

“ if you don’t tell me then,how am I to know” I said trying not to use words that I will regret

“ I see you are trying to play dumb this time,aren’t you” he said, his voice sounds angry, but I don’t care if we were to be discussing this somewhere else then, I would have say what I wasn’t able to say back then

“ ok what do you want me to do now? say sorry?, too bad I am not good at saying that so just get over it ok”I replied warmly

“Really” he asked. I kept quiet and Mrs smart invites us to dinner we got up and followed her, all settled down when Mr smart joined us the food was served and we started eating

Mike

What does she think of her self, always trying to play smart, thank God she didn’t refuse dinner so I have to ask her some few questions, but damn she is gorgeous if not that she was stubborn I could have make her my girl friend, if possible my wife.

“ hmm,so what is your favorite thing” he asked

Eve POV

Really what does he think, that he can get me to talking about myself, then you have to say something else

“ like what” I asked

“any thing, your likes and dislikes” Mike answered

“ I don’t like talking while eating and I don’t like talking about my self,especially to someone’ I don’t even know”Eve replied calmly chewing on my food slowly

With that answer Mike sat quietly and continue with his meal. After dinner I was about to leave when Mike offered to drop me since he was going out too

“There is no need for that I will take a cab” i declined quickly

“Come on dear, it not safe for you, it’s pretty late, just please go with him” Mrs smart pleads

“ if you insist then” she accepted,and turned toward Mike and saw him smiling, she gave a quick glare at him before entry the car and drove off.

“ so here we have the girl who insulted me, sitting in my car” he said looking through rare mirror, “ come on what is your problem, why are you so angry, some times you just get irritated” he asked again

“ if only you know how irritated I am right now you just keep quiet and do you job” Eve lashed back.. with no further argument he drove silently until they reached Eve’s house she quickly highlighted from the car and want inside

“ what a girl with an attitude” he said as he drove off.
