Kerris POV
I half-open my eyes to find myself on a soft bed sometime later. A vague shape has just walked in.
I glance around the cozy, unfamiliar room trying to make sense of the environment and recall how I got here. The first thing I notice is the closed blinds, which indicates nightfall.
The smell of antiseptic and medicine make me sit up and open my eyes fully.
"You're awake," says the female in scrubs. She's adjusts the IV fluid and mutters, "Almost done."
I've never seen her before. Which means she's not a member of my pack, and I'm not in the Moon Shadow.
"Where am I? How long was I..."
