At Sienna's insistence, her parents stayed at the house that night. Early the next morning, faint strains of music drifted through her window and woke her. She hurried out of bed, opened the curtains, and saw Zoey practicing the harmonica in the yard. Her parents stood beside her. Zoey seemed to have just finished a song, and her grandparents applauded enthusiastically. Margaret applauded. "That was amazing, sweetheart! You can already play an entire song, and so smoothly. It sounded beautiful!" Jonathan readily agreed. "I loved it. You did wonderfully, Zoey!" Zoey had grown much closer to her grandparents, and their praise made her beam. Morning light fell across the three of them, warming the quiet family scene. Much of the gloom Sienna had carried through the night dissolved.
