Choosing between love and revenge

I'd never thought of what the future had in store for me, though I actually never gave it enough interest. I knew somehow that I was far more important than I ever thought of but I only knew for sure after I found out who I really was, thought I wish it could have been in different circumstances since now I was in front of this man thinking, should I spare his life though he did not spare the lives of the villagers or the people I loved. It was in me to be forgiving however I knew that turning my back would not be the best decision. I was a being that no one could hurt as long as I accepted myself as who I was but I was indecisive given what I had planned for so long.  But despite this I decided to turn my back on this man and now I was welcoming death, this man's sword aimed at my throat, feeling the icky substance slowly coming out of my body, I knew then that it was the end. Still I was happy because I was welcoming it, I was taking the place of someone else, someone i loved, someone that did not deserve to be involved in all this.
