"B*tches, wake up!"
If I am normal and I do not know who Leina is, I would have been shocked and confused why a wailing hyena is inside my room, crying like her world just fell apart. But because I am not exactly normal and my ears already knows how Leina is, I just let it go.
"Leina, shut up! You sound like an animal giving birth right now!" an irritable Raqi said then covered her face with her baby pink comforter.
I have not talk to her about what I saw yesterday yet. I am not sure what to say to her. I do not even know what to feel about it. Should I feel betrayed because she did not have the guts to tell us, her best friends, about her relationship with Nathan? I really do not know what to do. But one thing is for sure, I cannot get myself to get mad at her. Not when I just saw a glimpse of her story. I need to hear her explanations first. Raqi acts tough on the outside, but she is just as soft as any of us despite her looks.
"Did you all know that according to shutup@f*ck.com, being noisy decreases the chance of having a love life?" Sassy sleepily but sarcastically said.
"Sassy, did you also know that I wouldn't hesitate to give you salt and water for breakfast if you don't get up now?" we immediately get out of bed when we heard Kesha's sarcastic voice. Geez, she is scary.
"TGIS! Thank God it is Saturday! Then tomorrow it is Sunday again, then Monday....the days are going fast, huh?" I sleepily mumbled while walking like a zombie towards the kitchen.
If it is not obvious yet, the five of us live in the same house. It is one of the many rules of the company, that the members live together to efficiently use time and for us to have access with each other easily. We are a group; we are like a one person.
GreyHouse, as what we call our home, is a modern bungalow with a high ceiling located in a private village owned by the company. The location is very convenient because it is near the company. We can just walk from here to work but unfortunately, we cannot do that without causing a commotion. We have producers and managers as neighbors and their houses are very far, so it is not exactly a 'neighbor thing'. I mean we do not have interactions with them daily that is why we have our very own world. I love it, it is very peaceful. The village is heavily guarded, and residents are the only ones allowed to enter. This made jogging and walking our pets easier.
"Ina, can you please pass me the syrup...." Leina said.
I reached for the syrup at the other end of our black dining table and handed it to her. The 8-seater table is filled with pancakes, French toasts and fruit bowls. Kesha even shaped the pancakes like Pandas which made it harder to eat because it is too cute.
"Why did you make the pancakes like this? You know I like Pandas, how am I supposed to eat them?" Sassy pouted.
"Such a whiner, I'll have yours then," Raqi was in the act of taking Sassy's food when the latter moved the plates away and ate her pancakes hastily.
"You know what Sas---" I began to say.
"Whatever," Sassy immediately cut me off. Sometimes......sometimes I want to feed her to the sharks, haaayst.
"Seo Sun-Hee, look-up please," I called her real name, so she obliged.
"Can you see our chandelier? I will hook you to that if you don't let me finish," I pretended to be mad, so she'll listen. She nodded repeatedly like a good dog.
"You said you like chickens, but you eat chicken bones when we order fried chicken. You said you like cows, but you eat half of my burger after you are done with yours. So, you see, you eat what you like. So, my question is, do we need to worry for your future boyfriend? because you know, you might 'eat' him?".
"You b*tch have a dirty mouth!" the girls laughed while Sassy threw me her table napkins. I joined them in laughing because I am aware of the double meaning.
"Wow, Sun-Hee feeling demure, eh?" Kesha teased.
"B*tch", Sassy answered which made us all laugh again.
Raqi and I wash the dishes after we ate. It is like our tradition in this house, those who did not cook will clean the dishes.
Should I confront her now? I do not think it is the right time, so we finished what were doing without me asking her questions.
We finished fixing ourselves quickly because we still have training.
"How’s your shower? You did not just swim there, right?" Leina laughingly teased me. Well, I did go back to the dressing room looking wet all over, so I needed to tell them what happen. Except the part where Greek god came to my rescue, of course. I can still feel the butterflies in my stomach whenever I remember what happen that day. When they asked about the coat, I just said that there was a kind staff who lend me his suit.
We were just chilling out in the bedroom when we heard our van outside. It did not even take 15 minutes for us to arrive in H&H. The assistants took our duffel bags while we walt to the conference room for a meeting with the managers.
The meeting ended briefly because the only agenda was the performance yesterday, we were also briefed about the event later. We will have a meet-up with fans later tonight in DeLi. DeLi is a well-known place for meetups because it is an open court with a lot of food stalls. The place is extra spectacular at night because of the lights all around the place.
After the meeting, we move to the music room to polish our upcoming songs. Two of our new songs have bop beats so we are extremely tired in practice. Our dance instructor and choreographer are both competent so it is no surprise that our performances are well thought of. The dance breaks are really complicated and unique, that is why were always trending. We were about to sing our RnB song for the third time when our vocal coach called for a break.
"Coming Home to You is a breath of fresh air, really. The melody is superb! Nice job as always, Erina."
Kesha said talking about the song I composed. Most of our songs are written by me. I love writing songs because that is where I can express myself. I have this notebook, filled with unreleased songs. The company did not want me to release them because the theme does not reflect the Erina that they were selling. Erina for them should be this perfect, gorgeous girl whose friendly and approachable. Which is kind of a bummer because I am extremely sarcastic and B*tchy. Though members are the only people who knows the real me. They are my family indeed.
“I need to go to the comfort room," Raqi said then she proceeded to running outside the music room.
"I need to go to the comfort room too," I told the girls before following Raqi. I think this is the right time to confront her, I cannot sleep a wink because of the shocking revelations I just witnessed. I am not used to hiding things from the girls.
I made my way towards the comfort room and saw Raqi washing her hands ion the sink. "Raqi...." she immediately turned her head then smiled at me. "What? You want to swim again?" she laughingly said.
I took a deep breath before looking at her in the eye. "Are you…… are you and Nathan together?" her expression changed from smiling into shock. "W-What? How did you know? Erina, I can explain...." her eyes turned watery then she held my hand with her shaking ones.
"Raqi, please don't cry. I am not mad, okay? You know I can never get mad at you, right?" I answered while trying to stop my tears from falling. "I just want you to explain.....because I’m so confused right now and I am really scared for you because we both know that this is not allowed," I exclaimed while enveloping her into my embrace.
"I'm in love with Nathan. In just a short span of time, I already knew, that he is the one for me," Raqi said while tears are streaming down her face. She continued to tell me how they met, how they often bumped at each other, how they steal glances. My tears are slowly replaced by laughter because all her stories are f*cking cheesy! She also told me about how they were struggling to keep their relationship a secret, but they had no choice.
"Erina, I know that you already have done a lot of favors for me, but can I just ask for one more? Can you please keep this a secret? Just for the mean time! Please?" she didn’t have to ask me. It is her life; it is her business. If she is happy and safe, then I am okay with that.
