Chapter seventeen :Don’t Tell Me That,Do It.

Gabriel’s POV

Honestly with that her statement I was lost.I didn’t know if I should blame her or not,deep down inside of me i really wish we could just do something together without any complaints,Quarrels,no agues just peaceful life if possible we could be friends first and then plan how to make this marriage work.She doesn’t even trust me let alone anyone around me,great!.

“Suzan mom said you should come over to the villa,she wants you to help her out”I informed Suzan,since today is the birthday party,Becky hasn’t leave her room since morning,I tried sending the maid to call her downstairs for breakfast but she kept telling them not to bother her.

“Good morning”I greeted as she just opened her door

“Um Good morning”she replied.To my surprise she was already dressed for...oh church,how could I not forget when I have been thinking of ways to please her.

“Can you wait for me I need to get ready too,and there’s breakfast on the table if you don’t mind?”I said not sure if she would even want to see,but I still have to try.

“Trust me I prepared it myself”i added as she knitted her eyebrows.

“Umm”that was the only response she could come up with.

When I returned down stairs i found her eating slowly,at least she eating it,she didn’t have anything before going to bed last night,guess she must be hungry.

“Don’t think I don’t have any options,I just ate it to show that I’m not that dark at heart compared to you,and what did you say concerning my cooking?....at least you should have tried it.Anyways it good.” She said standing up to leave,I was short of words,she sure knows how to get her ways,in facts I was ashamed of myself,that day I didn’t even touch the plate let alone tasted the meal I just wrote a note insulting her cooking when I don’t even know where was in the plate,so I have never been fair from the very start,and she is not making things easier.

Soon time passed by,the whole afternoon was calm except for the loud music that was coming from her room.

“Becky can you please reduce the volume,am trying to put somethings together”I shouted outside her door but got no response order than the voice of John legend,singing all of me.

I dialed her number which she picked without hesitation.

“Can you open the door?...”I asked,the line was dead before I could say another word,the door was opened and my eyes were on her,she was wearing shorts and handless crop,her hair was in high messy ponytail,she was standing before me with barefoot,all this things just makes her beautiful and sexy,Umm if only we’re in good terms,I would have kiss her,still her lips swollen.

“Are you going to look at me all day?,if no then say what you want”she said sharply,

“Can’t...never mind,just turned down the volume of the music,am actually in my study...and I also asked the Samson to get you a dress, if you don’t mind,you can wear it.”I said looking at her in the face,she has this indifference look of hers.

“I will take it,but am not wearing it as I have bought one yesterday,but I can try it on if the one I bought didn’t suit well,Andy actually bought”she replied calmly,mmm at least we talked it out in a mature way.

I was waiting down stairs for her to come down,when I looked up again I saw her coming down,it was not the dress I gave her,this one was simple but elegant,a knee length with matching heels,same color with her pouch,her hair was neatly swept to one side allowing you to see her smooth neck down to her back,I unconsciously gulp when she stood in front of me revealing her upper cleavage where i simple golden bracelet stood it ground.

“Is any thing wrong with the dress?”she asked bringing me back to my senses.

“The dress no,not at all,it’s good,I mean you’re looking gorgeous”I commented looking at her face which had no trace of makeup yet she was nailing it. ‘damn it!,she is a beauty!’ My head scream.

“If you say so,can we go now?”she asked frowning slightly.Its just a compliment by the frown.

“Sorry if my words somehow makes you feel uncomfortable”I apologized.What is wrong with her anyway.

“No it nothing”she replied bending her head downward.

“Ok today is a very good day,I would like you ‘us’ to cooperate,Am not saying act in front of the guest but..do try to calm down Okay?”I requested not wanting us to cause trouble at my moms party.

“No problem,so long as you keep those girls away from me”she replied calmly.

“Don’t worry summer won’t be coming and Suzan would be attending her guest”I informed her and she sighed.

Becky’s POV

I planned on changing the dress if he disapproved doesn’t like it,but to my surprise he was looking at me queerly,and when he called me gorgeous,I was blushing,i try stopping myself from blushing but his apology made it worse,how can he be such a gentleman,i frowned my face because it was getting hot.

He drove quietly,I just looked out the window,seeing children playing,the adult of my age were hanging around with their boys and girls friends hand in hand,I wonder what it feels like to love someone who loves you back,i have never been in a relationship before,my whole life i focused on my career,I never had time for relationship, ‘really Becky you,you never had time,or you just wasn’t ready to have the time?’my mind judged.ok fine i wasn’t ready doesn’t mean i wouldn’t. ‘Really! we’re you ready for this marriage as well?’ my mind sneered at me.Gosh just let me think of something else.

Soon the car pull to a hart in front of my so called mansion.the environment wasn’t quite as usual everything seems lively,there were clinging of glasses and soft chatting here and there,guess what,my parents were also here,Andy,Mathew,James,Jack,Jennifer and Lizzy James date.We greeted each other sharing hug,then Gabriel’s parents came.

“Aww you’re looking so gorgeous tonight”Mrs Brown said giving me a light kiss on my cheeks

“You’re not looking bad either,happy birthday mom”I said handing her a small box and she gave me another hug.

“You shouldn’t have bothered,anyway since it a gift from my only daughter-in-law then i will treasure it with my whole hearts”Mrs Brown said placing a kiss on my head,I felt free more like i was part of the family for long.Mrs Brown introduces me to her friends some were loving why others were just acting nice.After cutting the cake,we moved further away from the elderly ones,Gabriel has been hanging around me the whole time,he barely left my side,Mathew called him for something I don’t care to know.

I walked briskly to the garden with two glasses of wine in my left arm,I placed wine on the bench and make an attempt to take it with my right hand,I tried but the glass kept breaking down,I didn’t know when Gabriel entered.

“Take it”he commanded,I just ignore his commanding tone and tried,after few attempts,it wasn’t working.

“Becky do it”he commanded

“I can’t..”

“Don’t tell that,I said do it”he shouted interrupting me,I don’t know why I didn’t react to his shouts,instead did as he said,I tried touching the glass but couldn’t grab it,the drink spill and he immediately filled with another wine,this kept on happening.

“Who do you hate most?,what would you do when you come in front of the person when he or she sees you like this”he asked with pressure.

“The one I hate the most right now is that b***h your summer....”I replied angrily,trying to reach to glass

“She cursed all this......and as for what i will do to her is non of your business.......but I will surely deal with her”I replied finally holding the glass firmly,with sweat dropping from my head.

“Ok lift it up to your mouth”he said calmly, I tried but,it was a little hard than holding it,but with more pressures from him i was able to drink the glass spilling some on my neck which flowed down to my cleavage,I don’t know what happened next but I found myself self in Gabriel’s arm,he hug me and i hugged him back,this was the first time we ever stayed close to each other,i could smell his after shave,his heart beat move with mine,his chest was so strong and comforting,i never felt this peaceful and relaxed,his arms were on my bare back making my face turned red,everything at this moment was okay for me,i kept on inhaling his sweet smell when he spoke softly,i was so lost in his arms that I didn’t hear what he said.

“Did you say something?”I asked not leaving him.

“How much did you hate summer,why this hatred....”hearing those words from him I quickly break the hug,my face darkened with anger.

“Of all moments Gabriel,you choose this one,why do you have to bring summer in now?....am sorry if I gave the impression that i was acting like a b***h,or some sort of boy friend snatcher” i yelled and walked away.How could he?.

As I came out of the garden Andy drag me to a quiet place.

“What?”I asked cleanings the tears running down my face.She just kept quiet and watched me cry.

“So..you’re crying now,when you hugged him you forget to cry”she said still giving a warm look.

“What was my fault,I didn’t snatched her boyfriend,I didn’t do anything wrong,it just happened Andy...and besides it’s just a hug”I tried explain for no reason if you asked me,when the unexpected question hit me.

“Are you having feelings for him”she asked calmly,my eyes were wide open.

“What is wrong with you Andy,what are you talking,ha ha ha”I asked laughing,laughing because I didn’t know the right answer for her question,and my mind wasn’t working properly at this time.

“Of all question Andy you choose this one,what is wrong with you?uh..I see Mathew is doing a great job in arranging your mentality.”I remarked clapping my hands.

“Don’t worry your self too much about me,okay”I said leaving her standing speechless.

I didn’t know what and how i feel right now,but it’s not something that I’ve never felt before,the feeling was great and exciting,it’s just confusing when Andy asked that question.Thank Goodness my arm is back,I can now do things in my own,I quickly want to the party and told my parents,and in-laws about it they were so happy except for Suzan who just gave a haft smile,not to worry,I can do things myself from now.

Gabriel’s POV

With that hug,I felt relaxed,she jasmine smell filled my nostrils,her bareback was so smooth and soft,everything at that moment was right,her hair was soft and curled,it also smelled jasmine,this was the first time i had her in my arms.

“What’s wrong with you man?”I heard James asked as I looked backed at him,is expression was that of disappointment.

“What?”I asked calmly.

“Don’t gives me that innocent look of yours,I thought you were brave...but you’re just a coward”he said giving me a glass of water.

“What do you mean?”i asked quizzically

“Why do you have to ruin that prize less moment,what on earth do you say?”he asked coldly

“What else could i possibly say, I just asked if she hates summer that much”I replied,if her hatred for innocent girl could make her do things beyond imagination.

“Really Gabriel,really? you have to bring summer in your one time with her,are you so dumb or what,honestly Becky is to calm for my liking,if it were me...I would have given you a slap.How can you bring your girl friend into the picture and you expect her to answer you,Becky is your wife and summer is now a mistress for her,get it.”with that long speech he left.

James was write summer is now a mistress for Becky,and this wasn’t the first time he has told me,and the Becky in question wouldn’t want things to go any further between us,she is not easy to talk to,after she broke that hug i felt,somehow lonely and lost,my heart skip a bit when she apologized,it wasn’t her fault,it wasn’t mine either,I have never felt this way with summer,she just gave me this new feelings and experience.

When the party was over.we drove silently,she kept looking out the window,as soon as we arrived home she jumped out of the car and.rush inside more like she was running from me,I just watched her leave and I felt my heart scattered inside my chest,summer never makes me feel this way,things with Becky as different and unusual,they were feeling that I wanted to improve,but how?how will I do that when she is pulling herself away from me,when i never gave a good impression from the very beginning.

As I reached inside,the bedroom door was locked,not wanting to disturb her I chose next room,besides I wasn’t needed anymore since she is now okay.
