The days that gloom
Episode 1: The Day That Glooms
The Atmosphere
The episode opens not with a bang, but with a stifling, golden silence. The "Hidden Fale" is an architectural marvel—an underground neo-baroque palace carved into a coastal cliffside. The air smells of expensive oud and ozone. Outside, a freak atmospheric storm has turned the sky a bruised, sickly purple—the "Gloom" that signals the start of the transition.
Part I: The Disorientation
Julian Vane awakens on a velvet chaise lounge in the "Gallery of Echoes." His last memory is a rainy street in London and a black sedan. Now, he is dressed in a tailored silk suit he doesn't own.
He is met by Caspian, the most senior of the Divas. Caspian is polishing a silver coin, his movements fluid and predatory.
"Don't look for the exit, Julian. In the Fale, there are only entrances. You are here because the world thinks you died in a car fire three days ago. You are officially 'Stale' to the outside. Here, you are a ghost with a pen."
Julian realizes his leverage is gone. He has been brought here to document the Gloom Rite—a ceremony where the Divas decide which world leader or tycoon will be "erased" next.
Then julians friend OMAR comes in tells Julian and gives her names and addresses of the divas
